The blonde nodded and settled back on the table, her blue eyes regarding the ceiling briefly before she closed her eyes and went into a rest mode.
Kizna popped the seal on a bulb of fruit-water six hours later and settled back into a chair.
"Well?" asked the younger of the two.
"So impatient, you remind me of someone I used to know," said Kizna, her gaze turning distant for a moment before she collected herself.
"Naruto, Repairer Towryk has been working for some time, give her a moment," said the older of the two.
Kizna flashed a smile at the older of the two, raising the drink in a gesture of thanks. "Well, her name is Winry Rockbell. In some areas she'd be called "R.Winry" because she is an artificial being. She's stronger and faster than human, tougher too. She has some really odd stuff that I don't feel qualified to speak of, but many of her systems are bionic - meaning they duplicate human organs. She was damaged in a fight using technological weapons that you two probably wouldn't be familiar with. Her primary memory was largely wiped. Secondary though - I was able to recover quite a lot."
"So, she's not quite an automaton, she's a person after all," said Jiraiya as he mused over the concept. As he interacted with talking frogs, dogs, and the like - the concept wasn't as hard for him to grasp as otherwise might have been the case.
"Combat isn't her main thing though," said Winry. "She's what some people call a 'cyber-doc' - a physician who works with artificial limbs and the like. She also has a considerable amount of knowledge of traditional medicine. She's got a few piloting skills, weapons repairs, and that sort of thing. If you want to sell her, I could certainly give you a fair amount - she'd be a big help."
"I don't really feel right about selling someone," said Naruto. "If I get this right, she was built but she's also a person?"
"Right, the legal areas vary from system to system, but that's the basics," agreed Kizna. "Actually, considering how little you two know about high technology, she ought to be extremely handy to have around."
Winry adjusted her clothes, inspecting the result in the mirror. The matchup to the fictional character was nearly exact.
So she was a repairer, much like the cat-eared human Kizna. Except that where Kizna knew little about bionics and human biosystems, Winry was quite knowledgeable.
She had a few pieces of nonstandard equipment which she supposed might be of use to her owner.
She knew she was a gynoid and accepted that. She also knew she had been primarily a repairer but also tasked with bodyguard duties. She had failed.
Winry checked monitors and found Kizna discussing things with two people. One of these, then, was her new owner.
One was young, blonde, and seemed excitable. The other was older, less excitable.
Winry studied the two before deciding:
