In fact, it was that very behavior that nearly got her into trouble as she wound up having to duck and weave around people on her way to the binoculars. A girl from one of those schools only rich people went to even barked at her as she weaved through that girl's class. That did bother her, but she did cheer up a bit as she passed by another girl, this one in glasses, who gave her a small amused smile as she passed. It was no different than normal, and she was fairly used to that sort of reaction anyway.
"Hold it, you sick creep!"
What she wasn't used to was turning to see large naked men coming barreling down on her. Watching him was like seeing a horrific car crash, where one knew what was going to happen, but one couldn't stop it. As it was, her first view of him was of him leaping through a pile of bird cages that had been set up for some sort of ceremony later. The sudden flurry of feathers and squawking fowl set a lot of schoolgirls to running around like panicked chickens themselves. It didn't help when he bashed aside, a vegetable seller's cart, incidentally pelting that rich girl with lots of greens.
Yet, she wasn't aiming to be the latest victim of this little rampage. Even as a girl fearing being touched by such a dirty man, she had a part of her that was already reacting to the situation. Purposely falling backward, she kicked out one foot, aiming to help guide him over her prone form.
That resulted in her heel landing squarely where Genma did not want was going to be hit, and he screeched as he went to grab something that didn't need rough squeezing.
There were not many things that Tatewaki understood, as they were usually involved in things that were too pointless for him to get to know. For him, there were only a few details that he really had to know, and that was how to live his life. Since his own father had been such a disappointment, and he didn't have much of a relationship to speak of it, he wanted to change it into something useful.
He had found such a thing in the epics of Japanese history. It had been part of the same sort of delineated line of going on.
For him, it was not only a big help in have a list tell him about what the basics that he should remember as being part of any possibility. And then that was what brought him to the next act that he was going to have to make a declaration in front of the school.
"Tatewaki Kuno, the rising star of kendo, doth issue this proclamation!" the rich boy declared.
"What's that supposed to mean?" one girl asked another.
"How should I know?" demanded the second one.
"He's about to continue," murmured a third girl.
Coughing a little into his hand, he pulled himself as straight and tall as his young form would allow him to. "At times, there are plenty of signs that tell people that events of great import and change are upon them, but need not take the appropriate action. Then again, there are moments when something special must be done. Well, such a moment is open upon us!
