Rules for episodes of the Restart Cascade!

1. An episode of the Restart Cascade! is comprised of these rules as the episode body, followed by the first five episode options labeled "Restart" and the sixth option labeled "Cascade!". The HTML formatting for these rules must be preserved.
2. The options labeled "Restart" are extended to begin new Addventure threads. The option labeled "Cascade!" is extended to create another episode of the Cascade!.
3. All episodes of the Restart Cascade! must—and only episodes of the Restart Cascade! may—have "Restart Cascade!" as the thread name.
4. Only one episode of the Cascade! may have one or more unextended "Restart" options. All episodes of the Cascade! must have at least one "Restart" option extended.
5. Only episodes of the Cascade! or the Restart Deluge! may have options labeled "Restart". Only "Restart" options of these two threads may be used to begin new Addventure threads.
6. The comment board for episodes of the Cascade! may not be used for discussion of thread ideas.

Rules for new threads extended from the Restart Cascade!

• The first episode of a new thread extended from a Cascade! "Restart" option must satisfy all of the following special requirements in addition to the general quality requirements for episodes of the Addventure:
  • The episode must have new thread title (see rule #3 above).
  • The episode must have a proper title heading, which consists of both thread title and episode title. A proper title heading is correctly spelled and capitalized, and does not use dashes, colons, or any HTML formatting.
  • The episode must have an episode body composed of plain text content of 15 kilobytes or more.
  • In the comment board of the episode, the author must post under a comment named "Plot Outline" the structure of the story's plot. This outline must include the following elements, none of which are to exceed ten words:
    • the protagonist's name
    • a short description of the story's setting
    • the protagonist's main goal
    • the main source of conflict against protagonist's goal
    • the final result of the main conflict
    • and a general description of the story's intended audience.
  • The author may choose to privately inform the moderators of any element instead of posting it for public view, if the author replaces that element's outline entry with a story justification for the omission.
  • The episode must be demonstrably consistent with all outline elements, as stated above.
