Inside the control booth chamber, the others were observing the two inhabitants in the sealed room and saw the symbol briefly flare on Rai's head. "Did that guy just turn on his Geass?" murmured Lockon.
"It seems like it..." Allelujah trailed off when he saw Setsuna suddenly stumble out of his chair with one hand tightly gripping the edge of the table and the other one digging into his scalp. His eyes had taken on a crazed look... and what was even scarier was that there was a strange faint red glow just around the brown irides.
"His heart rate is increasing rapidly!" exclaimed Tieria as he continued observing the readouts. "It's reached 180 beats per minute!"
"Just what did he tell Setsuna in there?! Is... is this supposed to happen when someone activates Geass?" The Irish Meister had the urge just to go into the room to try and settle things but he forced himself to stay still.
Sumeragi quickly checked on their resident Geass user... only to find that he had a look of shock and surprise on his face as the blue clad Meister began to scream. 'He didn't expect this to happen...... if that's the case...'
"What in the..." The hologram was trying to make sense of what he was reading when he saw the brainwave scans. "T-this is...!"
"Abort the experiment! Lockon! Allelujah! Get in there and subdue Setsuna! I'm going to go get some anaesthetic from the infirmary!!"
"Ms. Sumeragi?!" Before Allelujah could reach out to her, she had ran out of the room quickly.
"You heard the lady!!" Lockon reached for the door and just as he opened it, a blood-curdling scream from Setsuna filled the control room.
"HHHHHUUUUUUAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!"
"...... it's times like these that I miss being in space where there's no gravity," mumbled Ian as he reviewed his current repair schedule on a clipboard while the maintenance Haros took a bit longer to move around to get from Gundam to Gundam.
"Where next? Where next?" asked a blue maintenance Haro down by his feet.
"Hmmmm... did you guys look over Arios and find out what Allelujah was complaining about earlier?"
The eyes of the blue Haro blinked a few times. "Affirmative! Affirmative! Improper gear shaft discovered in mode selector control! Maintenance group 2 has been dispatched to replace it using gear Z-006!"
"Might need to make a supply run back to the Celestial Being since we don't carry too many of those gears on the ship..." A noise above caught Ian's attention and he turned to see his daughter pop her head over the catwalk railing along with Marie.
"Sorry I'm late, papa!!"
"Don't worry about it, Mileina! Just help me with the GN Drive synchronization testing on the Gundams!"
"Okay!"
"Is there anything I can do to help?" asked the former HRL Super Soldier as Mileina hopped down to help her father.
"Since Allelujah's not here, you can probably help do some console tests and check if the new gear is working properly. Let's not risk anything by half-assing our work."
A small little smile appeared on the young woman's face. "Understood."
SUBMIT.
"GAAAAHHH!!!" Setsuna felt the presence in his mind, the overwhelming blackness that wanted to consume his consciousness and change him back to the person he used to be before he came to his senses. As he tried to fight back that invasion, he felt himself being restrained by two people and struggled furiously to get out.
"Setsuna, calm down!!" shouted Allelujah as he tried holding on to his comrade.
"Geez... you really are troublesome... aren't you?!" grunted Lockon from the other side.
BELIEVE.
"I... I w-won't...!!"
All Rai could do was stare at how much of a reaction he had gotten from the otherwise stoic Meister. He hadn't expected to see such extreme resistance to his Geass. Before he could try and think about anything else, Sumeragi rejoined the group, armed with a kit from the infirmary. "Hold him steady!" shouted the strategic forecaster as she took out a needle, some cotton, rubbing alcohol and a bottle of liquid anaesthetic.
ALLAHU AKBAR.
The Muslim prayers taught to him by Ali Al-Saachez began to cycle through Setsuna's head constantly as he barely felt the cotton on his arm followed by the needle. But rather than spit out those Arabic words, he forced his mouth to say only one thing. "G-Gun...dam..."
SUBHANA RABBIYAL A'ALA.
The drug was starting to take effect as he felt his strength start to leave him. "Gundam...!"
EMBRACE THE GLORY OF...
With his last ounce of strength, he screamed out the one name that mattered to him just as the Geass order made a final push to convert him.
...... ALLAH. "GUNDAAAAAMMMM!!!!"
