Beep, beep beep beep beep...
"Usagi, come on, are you still refueling? I've never seen anybody in the whole world who eats as much as you - Well, in your size bracket, anyway."
Tsukino Usagi spun her front wheels guiltily, and carefully pulled out the hose. A gold and silver small hatchback with flexible back seating and round flowing lines, she was quite cute in her school patterns, not that she quite realized this herself yet.
"Awww, Rei-chan, stop that, will you! I've seen you put it away too, don't you forget it..."
"I don't guzzle gas five times a day, Usagi."
Hino Rei made a face at her, revving up her engines. Rei was a small elegant sports car, very nice-looking in black and red highlights even with the school patterns, and tended to become impatient when people moved too slow for her taste. Since she was a very speedy car when she had to be - She could and had outrun bona-fide race-cars on the open road - that tended to happen more often then one would think. She also had a rather large cup holder on her dashboard, which she sometimes used as a Fire Cup holder when she had to consult the Holy Flame on the run.
"Oh, come on, Rei-chan, let Usagi-chan be. Did everybody bring their homework?"
Mizuno Ami ambled up to them, looking down - quite literally - on both of them. Ami was a small roundish van (not a minivan, as her mother would say, she was a multipurpose van, if a bit on the smallish side) and was taller then most of her closest friends. She was somewhere between the size of a small Hiace van and a Liteace van, but had curvy roundish lines that made her look much cuter then either of those types tended to be - or so her parents said. Ami didn't really believe that part of it all that much - they were here parents, it would be natural that they'd be biased, after all. Though she did like the blue base color she was wearing now, under her school patterns.
"I did!"
Kino Makoto said cheerfully, rolling over and bouncing fenders with her friends. Makoto (Mako-chan to her friends) was a SUV that looked very much like a small G-Wagen, complete with cute little fog lights. She usually wore green and yellow with a little brown thrown in the mix, which fit her very well. Her school patterns were a bit outdated, as she was still using the patterns from her old school, but since the teachers weren't complaining, well, nobody else was going to bother, either. Uniform paintings tended to be a bit on the pricy side, after all.
"And so did I. Hi, everybody!"
Aino Minako wheeled up, waving.
"Oh, by the way, there's this thing I wanted to talk to you girls about - later, though!"
Minako was a midsized golden boxy sedan with cut-back windows, as cute as a button. Her trunk usually was full of more gadgets then most people could think of stuffing in that amount of space. She also had a rather interesting habit of customizing herself, depending on the mood and on what they were fighting at the moment.
"OK, then - We're going to the Hikawa Shrine today, right?"
"Right. Oh, hey, Mamo-chan, you made it!"
Usagi wheeled over to her boyfriend, smiling.
"Well, it was a bit of a close thing, but I'm here now..."
Chiba Mamoru was a rather large and good looking sedan, all in black, and the color suited him. He had a ornamental medallion that looked like a chess piece - a knight, to be exact - entangled in roses and thorns on his grill, which was very distinctive, Usagi thought. He usually had several books in his back seats, which he'd browse through whenever he had a bit of spare time - which wasn't all that often, once this Senshi business had started out in earnest.
"Alright there, here we come, snacks!"
"Yeah, yeah, I did bring the snacks, but..."
"Don't forget the homework, Usagi-chan!"
"And there's also - Oh, never mind. It can wait."
None of them noticed the two miniature mountain bikes, black and white, looking at them from a rooftop near by.
"Are you sure we shouldn't be briefing them, Artemis?"
"Briefing them about what, Luna? We don't have any concrete info at all!"
Well, that was true enough. Luna sighed.
An Advisor's work was never, ever done...
