Kids were being led away from the parade route, most people were turning away on their own. Some were following though, just because this was so freaking bizarre. Even for this section of Nerima.
Part of entourage included some Cameragirls and Videogirls, which was another reason for those followers. This might end up on the local news after all.
There was also one specific OTHER following in the wake of this fashion disaster.
"Does this place have to get weirder every time I come here?" asked Ryoga Hibiki. The bright clashing colors were enough to cause his eyes to tear up.
Kuro shrugged. "Be glad you can't smell this."
Shiro nodded. "At least it'll be easy to find the Tendo residence."
"Hey, Hibiki!"
Ryoga swiveled his head to the side, trusting his two Growlies to keep him on course. "Huh? Oh, you too? Did you ever finally get a pokegirl?"
"Yeah," said the Tamer. "It was just incredible luck. Her father was actually throwing her away! I managed to snag her and it turns out she's a GREAT pokegirl."
"I get first dibs on challenging Saotome," said Ryoga.
"I suppose, though you might want to beat on a few OTHER people," said the other Tamer/martial artist. "Let me tell you what some of the press has been saying about you. Mind you, this isn't coming from me, but I thought you ought to hear about it."

"So, uhm," said Ranma.
"Garnet... ORB," said Setsuna, throwing a sphere of lavender energy up around herself and the small group of people who would be discussing her escape possible new employment.
Ranma blinked as a forcefield suddenly muted sound and dimmed light, managing to cover a good portion of the Tendo house. THAT had immediate uses he could see.
"Now," said Setsuna, a little surprised at suddenly feeling shy and uncertain in front of a young man, then realizing it was just stupid hormones and the whole pack-instinct coming into play. How troublesome. "Shall we discuss the possibilities?"
Ranma nodded, noting that Miyo (the Psivyx) had managed to appear just before the sphere had appeared. He probably should consider her as well. If nothing else, some Psychic abilities might help track down Hiroshi and Daisuke when he got the chance.
Hiroshi finally got a clue. "Return!"
Daisuke followed a moment later, holding up a pokeball and opening it as his friend had. "Return!"
Once they were no longer in danger of having their heads pounded on by their respective Ingenue, the two boys collapsed and tried to get their breathing and heartrates under control.
"If only that Will thing was still working," griped Daisuke. "We could have those two eating our shorts in a heartbeat."
"I ain't even saying something like that," said Hiroshi between gasps. "Maybe we should get a second pokegirl we could use to keep the first in line."
"Then who would keep the new one in line?" asked Daisuke.
"We can play one off the other," suggested Hiroshi.
"That MIGHT work," allowed Daisuke, picturing himself with TWO pokegirls. "How would we get the money?"
Hiroshi smirked and held up his cellphone. "The National Tattler wants info on Saotome. What better source than his two best friends in the whole world?"
