Looking at it, she said, "I wish that Miss Lina was here. She'd know what to do. I also wish Garcia was here. She wouldn't put up with any of this."
She crawled under the covers and hugged Nezzard as she whispered, "Mama, please give the strength to hold on."
She softly cried herself to sleep.
A bit later, the door to Amelia's bedroom opened and Prince Phil looked in. Seeing the staff in her hands, Phil sighed.
"I guess this has been taking more out of her than she lets on. Don't worry daughter, I'm sure that things will be straightened out soon enough."
Closing the door, Phil looked at his nephew Alfred and his brother Randy. "Amelia is asleep. I'm not going to let anyone wake her up."
The two of the nodded and left. Soon another man came around.
"As I told Randy and your son, Chris, I'm not letting anyone wake Amelia up. She's been through enough already."
"I understand Phil. That's not why I'm here. I came here to see how you are holding up. This has to be very hard on you."
Phil let out a heavy sigh and nodded. "It is. I have overheard her wishing for a Miss Lina to be here. But, I have no idea who that could be."
"You think that Amelia learned magic from this Lina person and didn't tell anyone?"
"Maybe. It wouldn't be the first time one of my daughters went beyond their sceduled magical training," Phil said with a heavy sigh.
"Gracia and how she killed Booley?"
Phil nodded.
Chris asked, "Do you have any idea where Gracia is?"
Prince Philionel shook his head and replied, "I have heard nothing of anyone called Gracia. But, I still go out in disguise to pick up any clue about her wherabouts. I'm going to postpone my trip until this mess is cleared up. Amelia needs me."
"Be well, Brother," Christopher said, as he left.
Phil acknowledged that and thought, 'Amelia, I have no idea what you're going through. But, I'm not going to lose you to some mad scheme.'
