'Beastmaster was really upset when those talismans vanished. Some mere human is really pushing their luck.'
Xellos ordered a glass of water and listened to the various tavern conversations.
"They say that the crown princess might have made a deal with a Mazoku. That's why her powers have jumped so much."
"Princess Amelia is too much of an idealist to have done something like that. She must be a reincarnated white priestess."
"Rezo has offered a huge reward for the LIVE capture of Zelgadis Greywords, along with his weapon."
"I wonder why alive and not dead. Oh well the reward is great enough to go to the extra trouble."
"The bandit-slayer and the goldfish feces has been spotted nearby."
"So that's what happened to the Dragon Fang's. I wonder what the Dra-Mata really looks like."
"Individuality is one thing, but painting your entire body PINK is going a bit too far."
Xellos thought about what he heard. 'Zelgadis must have found out something that could help Rezo and refused to share it. The Dra-Mata? Oh. That's right. Lina Inverse. She's nobody of any real importance. Her powers in magic must be greatly exxagerated, but she does provide food for a lot of Mazoku. Now, Princess Amelia's power gain is interesting. It won't take me long to acertin if she has the talismans or not. If she doesn't have them and there isn't a pledge struck with a Mazoku, I'll let the Beastmaster know about it. If she did strike a pledge, I'll find out with who.'
Deciding to have a bit of fun, Xellos pulled out an old menu from this resturaunt and ordered a dish from it: an item that hadn't been offered for over fifty years.
Feeling the anger and fustration comming from the waitress, Xellos smirked and thought, 'This at least is giving me a good meal.'

Gaav was listening to the reports from his two Mazoku agents in Seyruun.
"You are telling me that this human, Amelia Seyruun, has went throught the testing procedure faster than anyone has before?"
"Yes, Lord Gaav," the female agent said "We have not approached her and we are fairly certain that no other Mazoku has either."
Gaav stroked his chin. "Interesting. Anything else to report?"
The male agent said. "It's not really important, but she ripped down one of those wanted posters of Zelgadis and studied it."
"I'd like to see one of those wanted posters."
The male bowed and vanshied. A few seconds he reappeared and handed Gaav a piece of paper. Gaav studied the paper and looked up.
"Find out what you can of Zelgadis Greywords. If Rezo wants him, he might be of some use to us. Now leave."
His two agents bowed. "Yes, Lord Gaav."
As both vanished, Gaav stared at a magical wall that gave a splendied view of Seyruun. "I don't know why you have your agents talking to Rezo, Hellmaster. But, you might have given me a weapon to use against your plans. I'll se what this human Zelgadis has to say.

Rezo sat in his tower waiting for Dilgear's report. A burnt felinoid came into the room, as Rezo waited.
"Lord Rezo. I'm afraid to report that Zelgadis has managed to get away from us once again."
"With all the bounty hunters after those three, it seeems highly improbable that that would occur."
The cat man sighed and shook his head. "A group of four showed up and rescued Zelgadis and his comapanions. One of the rescuers accused you of being posessed by a Mazoku."
Rezo recoiled a bit from that report. "He must be mistaken."
"She," the cat man corrected. "She.... Her name...."
"Yes?"
"It was Lina Inverse."
Rezo chuckled and shook his head. "More like she wanted to collect the reward money for herself. I'll be out some money, but Zelgadis will be here."
The felinoid hesitated for a second. "There is that Sirius guy that chased us all off. He said that Zelgadis is under his protection. He is a very powerful wizard, although I can't figure out why he painted himself pink."
"Pink? That's a new one, "Rezo said, as he held out his hand. "RESURECTION!"
A flash of white light enguphed the felinoid and when it faded, the cat man's injuries had completely faded away.
"Have Dilgear keep following them and try to catch Zelgadis again."
"Yes, Lord Rezo."
