"Tea?!" Akane wasn't sure what to make of this. Other than Happo Stai was apparently a pervert here too.
"Yes, I have allergies myself. That's why I'm a recluse you know. Can't put up with all those crowds and that pollution you get in some of the cities." Happo quickly began the brewing, and a pleasant sort of roasted grain scent began wafting out. "Oh, and I made fresh bread. Let me get you a slice!"
Similar, but different, decided Akane. This was not likely to be an ancient martial arts master. She eased her hand onto the doorknob behind her.
"Yes, yes, this tea is very good for allergies. Fix you right up," cackled Happo. "I use it myself. I'm a master of herbology you know. Just a matter of finding the right things. Xenobotany they call it in the academies, but if you have an idea where to look you can find all sorts of handy things! Oh. Check out this butter, it's just..."

"...the thing to go with my homemade (of course) bread. What do you think, it's not too..." Happo looked around wildly as he realized that his audience wasn't standing there any more. "Hello? Miss?"
