Haruka's tummy rumbled, reminding her of the current lack of food within that container.
The owl screeched a few times as she circled. Obviously Setsuna knew something about this and was trying to get involved. If only - ah!
Haruka-puppy snuck up and snatched a couple of the fish sausages before setting teeth to rope and trying to bite through. It hurt her gums to do it but she thought she had it started while the owl distracted the large guy - who was throwing rocks at the owl.
The boy was still struggling but looking at her, so Haruka tried scratching the kanji for "help" out. Which really made the boy's eyes bug. Well, maybe he could get out of the rest.
"Bad dog!"

Genma held the whimpering puppy up by the scruff of the neck. Hmmm. Might be able to get some meat off this dog. Been a while since he'd had stew. He looked over the boy's bindings, satisfied that Ranma was still caught, when his eyes caught sight of something unusual.
A word scrawled in the mud. Not Ranma's handwriting though it was nearly as messy. Who could have written it?
The damn owl tried to stoop attack him, so Genma threw the puppy at it.
Now he was all set to teach his son the Catfist and no stupid animals would interrupt him!

One kitten had been joined by two others and the three had tried to hold off the other cats.
Operative word: tried.
The three kittens had gone sprawling from the other cats.
The cats began tearing into the fish sausages and the little boy wrapped in them.
Ami, a kitten rescued from a trashcan by Ranma, looked up and:
