Restart Deluge! Team Pendragon!: 'Freedom Fighter' Is Such A Fine Word. [Episode 231869]

by Linnara

Team A's first Training Mission, as it turned out, was pretty darn simple.

"...Transfer, ahh, Energy Crystals from Point A to Point B? That's it?"

Clovis said, poking at their orders.

"Well, since the Point A and Point B do exist in different Timelines..."

Lelouch pointed out.

"Oh, come on, it's supposed to be a training exercise, and our first one to boot. Simple is good, right?"

Cornelia pointed out, lazily doing her nails.

"And since our Base also turned out to be a Dimensional Ship of some kind, and the AI's the one piloting it..."

Charles added.

"All we have to do is wait!"

Nana clapped her hands, laughing.

"Well, hopefully, yes." Lelouch murmured, hoping that things really were as simple as they looked.

It wouldn't do for them to mess up their very first Mission, after all - Even if it was a training exirsising.

And that was when Charles cleared his throat.

"So, people - Ahh, Teammates of mine - I was sort of thinking that we'd all like to get a grip on what each of us can do, and what makes us tick, and stuff like that, right? So what about telling each other stuff about ourselves?"

Hmmm. Lelouch thought about that. That wasn't a bad idea, actually - Even though he was pretty sure that almost everybody involved was going to be editing their stories like editing was going out of style.

"I don't mind."

"Neither do I." Clovis added, as Cornelia and Nana both nodded.

"Ohh, me first! Is that all right?"

Nana said, waving her hand.

"Of course, Nana-chan - Fire away!" Lelouch said, smiling at her.

"Alright. Um, I've been part of the Setagaya Settlement since the Battle of the City Hall, along with Akemi-nee, and - I'm a Freedom Fighter!"

Lelouch almost choked on his tea. As did Clovis and Cornelia.

"...Um. Did I say something wrong?"

"No, no, not at all - 'Freedom Fighter' is a fine word." Clovis said, waving his hands about laconically.

"Agreed so much." Cornelia added, grinning from ear to ear.

"...It sounds so much better than the alternative..."

Lelouch said theoretically, a hand to his chest.

"Really, it does. - Trust me."

Charles was looking from one of them to another, his eyebrows raising and raising.

"So, then. - Would it be correct to assume that, if most of you had to write a resume that actually had anything to do with the truth..."

It was Clovis who first started to laugh, a bubbling infectious sound that ran all around the room like wildfire.

"- Figures." Charles said, hands over his eyes, as the rest of his Teammates laughed their hearts out.
