Cheetah 1/2 - Diggers: Heart Burn [Episode 23206]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

What the Lich King HADN'T planned on was ths sudden pain in his chest.

"Raaaaagh..." The Lich King groaned as he fell to one knee. He felt an incredibly burning sensation from inside himself.

"Oi! Somethin' wrong, boss?" Phillipa asked.

"You don't look so good." Maharet.

"Quite pale... Like your fluids have been drained." Dark Weaver said.

Indeed. The Lich King's ebony hide had started to recede somewhat in palor, and his skin was now a charcoal gray.

"I'm fine you twits!" The Lich King growled, waving the Deathbuster Gun about to get his secretaries to keep their distance.

The secretaries watched as the Lich King stood. Concetrating, the Lich King's bone and flesh became the dark black that they remembered it being. "What are you waiting for? Let's attack!"

The secretaries looked at one another. They were unsure if the Lich was all right. "Boss, ah you all right? I mean, you didn't look so 'ot theah foah a moment." Phillipa said.

"Yeah sir, perhaps you should take a moment to rest." Maharet suggested.

"NO!" The Lich King bellowed. "We'll do this now!"

"Yes boss!" Came the cry from the three secretaries.

"Good!" The Lich King said. "Brendan will only buy us so much time. We have to make best of the aloted time. Now, LET'S HEAD OUT AND CAUSE SOME DAMAGE!!!"

"YES BOSS!" Came the cry from the three secretaries.

And thus, The Lich King led his undead army towards Mugen Hakuen. They were going to win at any cost...

However, the Lich might not last that long. Using the Pure Heart Crystals for an alternative power sourse was not a smart a move as he had planned.

As the Lich King had taken the Pure Heart Crystals from the Sailor Senshi, he had also taken in the currently innactive geas that were placed on their souls. from beyond the dead, the evil bitch Queen Serenity could feel another undead using her power... But as much as she wanted to use him, she could not... Her geas only worked on living entities...

However, Jonathan Diggers had become the undead evil entity known as the Lich King because of a failed experimental spell he was working on. Essence Inversion: a spell that would have the power to change a spirit of evil into a spirit of good. A complete inversion of what the being was.

Unfortunately, this spell worked both ways! And when he lost control of his first attempt, Jonathan became a victim of it. Once alive, he was now undead. Once good, he was now evil. He once loved his family more than life itself, and now hated them beyond hate! And this was all due to a spell that he was working on to help the Conclave of Mages; to help humanity!

And so, as the Lich King filled himself up with, and used the Energy of Pure Heart Crystals, Queen Serenity knew how to use side-effects. The Pure Heart Crystals were the soul of a person, and symbolized all of their 'goodness'. The Lich's corpse was a physical entity of pure, unadulterated evil.

But now, as he gained more and more Pure Heart Crystals, the Darkness that had consumed him was now being pushed back by the will and 'evil' of Queen Serenity! His current nature could only hold out for so long against the lng-dead Queen of the Moon.

Slowly, but surely, the Lich King's spell of Essence Inversion was being undone by Serenity, for once he became human, the geas would reactivate, being made to work on living body... And once he had too many Pure Heart Crystals... Good bye Lich King, hello Jonathan Diggers, tool of Serenity!
