"And because of the rules of such things, you can't take much of a direct hand," guessed Ranma. "Mortals have to clean up mortal messes - part of the learning and growth experiences."
"That's right," said Belldandy - relieved this wasn't going to be a long and complex debate about the nature of morality.
"Got ya," said Ranma, unconsciously shifting the snoozing Hotaru in his arms.

The Master sat back and regarded the two. "You know your duties. Go about them."
The two did, one bowing elegantly, the other with a snort of defiance.
They went nonetheless.
Mamoru Chiba had come here, tired of seeing his princess go into danger, and what had been his part? He could throw a rose, make a speech, and on great occasion he could whack something with his cane until such time as one of the girls decided to hit the monster. Oh, and his chi attack. "Tuxedo Le Smoking Bomber." As someone fluent in English, he had to wonder who had come up with these stupid attack phrases. Couldn't he have had something with a little dignity for crying out loud?
Unfortunately, the royal family of Earth appeared to have damn little in the way of psionic defenses. Within a few moments of meeting the Master he'd been puppetted down into the Crypt.
Pandora's Box should have been in Greece. Yet another bizarre historical anomaly that it was in the Northern Islands. The crystallized essence of poison had been attached to his hand.
It figured that they'd gotten the Four Horsemen wrong. War and Pestilence and Famine and Death. If you went further along the same lines, you'd find that these were just the surfaces of greater concepts.
Pestilence was actually disease which was just poisons - and poison was the new modus operandi of Mamoru Chiba. Toxic Mask.
As he walked from the base camp, he could see and hear people and animals dropping as they weakened. As poisons infiltrated their systems and brought them low. Later he'd turn the effect off, the better to meet the Senshi and poison their minds.
--------------
Pantyhose Taro bellowed in rage to the heavens as his winged minotaur form took wing.
Unlike Chiba, he required no mind control. Or darn little. One pledge of loyalty and he had the power he sought. The False Rune of Force made him tougher until he lost his temper - then he'd be unstoppable.
Fem-boy would be a fine red paste if he got in the way. Otherwise the visit would be to Happosai and Taro was quite willing to start pulling off the old man's limbs until he got rid of that Pantyhose name. 'Cool' Taro - sounded good.
