Usagi's New Life: Foolish but not stupid Genma [Episode 23298]

by Kestral

Ami had determined that Hotaru (something about the purple eyes) and Minako (she still wasn't sure what had clued her in) were the other two atypical acting cats.

An owl was cause for alarm. The greyhound puppy even more so. Yet they were waiting expectantly.

"Weom!" Minako-kitty complained as she managed to trip and fall on her face. So much feline grace.

Ami remembered that her owner, Ranma, had found her in a trashcan - one of several kittens tossed out like so much garbage. She had survived long enough for the little boy with no friends to latch onto her and bring her back to health.

There were plenty of stories dealing with enchanted beasts, shikigami, dogs who sacrificed themselves for their master, and so on. Clearly that was what he was dealing with here. Which might mean that Ranma was meant to accomplish one of those Epic Destiny things.

Meanwhile, the owl had scratched out "Stay with boy. Cure." The kanji being instantly grasped by some of the beasts and one somehow conveyed the very picture of feline confusion.

How to handle this. That was Genma's decision.

After a few moments of watching this, and hearing the gasp from his son as he managed to stagger up and observe this, Genma decided:
