Mischief Fragment - Replay: Spells, guns, and mayhem [Episode 234071]

The Spellslinger. There were fifteen variants on the concept that he could find quickly, but MOST required outside resources.

Techwizard, Artificier, and Relic Hunter all required access to resources not normally found in Naruto's world.

The Spellslinger, Sparktrooper, and Magic Gunner - too tied into the setting they were each found in. Having to splice in that much backstory would be entirely too much work. Though the Magic Gunner WAS tempting, just for the occasional bullet with Void or Charm or Sheepification. The brief image of a VERY startled sheep standing over a Decapitating Carving Knife provided a moment of amusement. But no - too likely to end up with Naruto dead and ROOT trying and failing to unravel the mysteries of the device.

To begin with, Naruto would likely just have one or two ("Protect" and "Bite" for example) and work out the rest as he went along. This had the advantage of fitting into that whole Uzumaki-fuuinjutsu angle.

There was also the Spellweaver. Not so much guns as wand or staff, using the inscriptions on either to manipulate magical forces. Again, it would be simple for the boy to grasp such a thing and then do simple things like weaving a shield of Air to block incoming missiles. Eventually throwing shards of ice or globs of acid at targets.

Then there was the Atelier. Able to examine objects, find the magical essences within them, draw those essences out and combine them. Typically made and used weapons of their own, enhanced by whatever potion or enchanted item they'd put together through their craft.

Yes, that would do. He'd just go ahead and set Naruto up with:
