Now Naruto was a ninja but dual-classed to be a sorcerer.
A wizard, in the terms of the universes he was copying stuff from, was one who learned spells from books - storing their patterns in the wizard's mind, then losing that spell when it was cast and having to rememorize it.
A sorcerer, on the other hand, KNEW the spell. The spell utilized innate magical power and hurled it out into a pattern formed by a mixture of will and nature.
The spells normally available to a sorcerer, particularly the beginning ones, did NOT particularly inspire Toltiir.
As a genin with a few jutsu under his belt, he'd be considered "first level" by most reckonings. That was fine, but to have some real possibilities - he'd have to be more accomplished with the magical end of things.
Maybe, though, if one tweaked things just a bit.
Charisma +2 (18)
Intelligence +4 (16)
Toltiir considered that, decided it wasn't enough.
Charisma +4 (20)
Intelligence +5 (17)
Constitution +4 (22)
Wisdom +3 (15)
Toltiir's tail twitched a few times as the kitty was apparently lost in thought.
Wizardry was more flexible, and as a frequent cat knew - flexible was good. Dependence on magical libraries was not good though. Unless...
Oh, THAT would work!
