Hinata Hyuga was whisked in front of her sister in their family dojo and their mutual father was dropping his hand in the signal to begin the fight before Hinata could properly come to terms with the changes that having that best friend would mean.
As Hiashi Hyuga had expected, the fight did NOT follow the usual script of Hanabi putting Hinata on the defensive and then wearing her older sister down.
As Hanabi closed with her elder sister, what looked like bluish makeup appeared to line Hinata's eyes. Hinata's stance changed, the uncertainty falling away from her.
Hanabi's hands darted in at the obvious opening despite that Hinata normally wouldn't be leaving openings like that this early in a match.
Hinata moved, reversing her previous motion, slapping aside Hanabi's arm with enough force that the younger girl's weight and momentum were directed to the side.
Hinata struck once, the sound echoing in the dojo, her open palm slamming directly into the back of Hanabi's skull and causing the younger of the two daughters to stumble forward two steps before collapsing.
"Oh no, Hanabi!" exclaimed Hinata immediately, rushing forward to check her pole-axed sister.
Having been running his own Byakugan during the exchange, Hiashi merely nodded once and commented "well done" before turning and leaving.
Actually, he had to report this to the Hokage and the Council - all of whom would be waiting for the details.
When Hinata had struck, she had not used her chakra. If she HAD, then the blow struck would have been fatal. Hinata normally would hesitate to even strike one of the more vital areas even in sparring without using chakra. It was that hesitation more than anything else which kept Hinata from becoming a strong practitioner of the Hyuga Jyuuken style.
There had been great strength, and great control evident. Hinata's physical strength when shoving her sister's attack aside had been such that it had looked almost as negligent as waving off a fly might have been.
Still using his Byakugan, Hiashi saw Hinata tending to her fallen sister - arranging for her to rest comfortably and making sure she was uninjured. Which was very much like Hinata.
The "blue makeup" had faded, but the dark blue chakra was still around her, and radiating from a sigil on the palm of Hinata's right hand.
So - that would be the Blue Dragon that had attacked the Green Dragon after the Ninetailed Fox's mangled body had been tossed to the side.
As for what to do about it, well, that was another question altogether.
