Mischief Fragment - Replay: Hypnotic Therapy No Jutsu?! [Episode 234961]

by Kestral

The boy cried out, clutching at his eyes.

Hinata didn't know why. She knew this was Naruto Uzumaki, the little boy who tried so hard. She liked him, he inspired her. They were the same age, and they failed equally often, but he never let it get him down and he always tried his best.

Hinata took a few steps forward, made even more curious by the fact it was his eyes he was covering. Did he have something like the Byakugan then? Were those eyes so clear and blue capable of doing things like her own family's eyes?

A twig snapped under her foot, sounding especially loud.

Naruto found himself staring at Hinata.

Hinata found out that Naruto DID have some kind of dojutsu. His eyes now had this spiral pattern gently swirling around. Around and around. Pulling her into those beautiful eyes deeper and deeper.

"What the heck?" asked Naruto as he watched the scene. "What am I doing?!"

Using your dojutsu, answered the cat.

"But what..." asked Naruto as the Hinata-there continued to stare into the on-screen Naruto's eyes, shambling forward as if sleepwalking.

Just watch.

"Why were you watching me?" asked Naruto.

"Because I like you," said Hinata in a sleepy sing-song voice.

"So why were you hiding?" asked Naruto.

"Because I was afraid you wouldn't like me," said Hinata.

Naruto thought about that but the burning in his eyes was getting worse. "Why wouldn't I like you?"

"Because I'm a failure and a loser and I don't have any friends, and -" Hinata's voice caught as she choked a little.

"No, that's not right," said Naruto. "I'm your friend!"

"Y-y-you are?" asked Hinata, her eyes still glazed as she stared into the swirling blue depths of Naruto's eyes.

"Yes, you're my friend. My very best friend!" said Naruto, omitting the entire thing about being his ONLY friend.

"I'm your very best friend," said Hinata, her voice having an undercurrent of doubt.

"Right," said Naruto, thinking this was weird. The girl seemed fairly agreeable though.

"You like me even though I'm a failure?" asked Hinata, her mind trying to assimilate this.

"You're not a failure," said Naruto. "You're my friend, right? You're not going to fail at being my friend!"

Hinata smiled at that. Of course. It was all so clear now. "I really like you so you're my best friend. I want to make my best friend happy."

"That's right," agreed Naruto. "We're gonna be best friends forever!"

Hinata continued to look deeper and deeper into the spiral. It was so comforting there. Making her feel all warm and nice. She also had some kinks though, even at her age the seeds for which had already been planted. Combined with her current lack of confidence, she saw herself in a more subservient role. "Forever? Like a wife? A bride? Your servant? A pet?"

"Uhm, sure, I guess," said Naruto, not really sure what all that entailed. The stinging in his eyes made him blink. "Ahk!"

Naruto blinked a couple of times as the pain finally began to recede.

Hinata blinked and shook her head once, wondering what had just happened. She had been behind the tree there, watching, when something had happened. But what?

She looked around the training ground. There was just her and Naruto there. Naruto, her best friend, someone she really liked, and someday she would be maybe more?

Blushing at the thought, Hinata decided she'd just train with her best friend. Putting aside that he was her ONLY friend. They could improve their skills together. Wasn't that something best friends did for each other?
