"Yes?" prompted the cat, regarding the eleven year old.
Naruto frowned, thinking that if he weren't injured he'd be able to escape a lot more easy. "I wish I healed faster."
"Hmmm," hmmmed the cat. "Faster you say?"
"Yeah, LOTS faster," said Naruto.
"Okay," said Toltiir. That was easy actually. Just reach into the genetic makeup and the network that was the Uzumaki bloodline. This part here dealt with their stamina, ability to heal fast, and longevity. All it required was a little manipulation here to enhance it.
There was a heat sensation in his right thigh, followed by it cooling. Naruto ripped open the bandages to see - unmarked skin.
"Now," said the cat, "I need to tell you something about that. Because your body is using energy and materials, whenever your healing talent goes into effect - you're going to get hungry. You'll need to eat more than just ramen, you know. You'll need to eat all sorts of food to provide the things your body needs to heal properly."
"I don't know how to cook or nothing," said Naruto, "and it ain't like I got a lot of money."
"You can learn, or wish you could," suggested the cat.
