Note, first off, let's assume that whatever option below gets hit, time will be warped so that the main characters don't get involved till they've gotten a few years older.
Dimensional warps are a funny thing. Any sorceror will tell you that while their always hard to control, the difficulty in opening one depends entirely on the location. And in a place as full of magic and chaos as Nerima, there are actually microscopic dimensional warps opening on a regular basis. Their just all too small to see without a microscope.
Like the one which spontanously opened right in front of a L-Flu filled breath. Gating approximately 100 airborn virus's into another universe. Of corse most of the virus's were quickly destroyed in their new environment. However one was lucky enough to encounter the right host cell, and soon one virus became thousands.
And the pokemon's Victom 0 was. . .
