Sasuke glared at the idiot. Okay, an idiot who apparently won a game of chance that brought him back from the dead. An idiot who had rumors going around that he'd awoken some bloodline.
Yeah, right.
Naruto was up in his spot with that cocky grin in place. Sasuke made a note that the grin had to go now.
"When I win, you let my mom go free," said Sasuke, stretching his arms a bit.
"Huh?" said Naruto. "Why, is she complaining? We got a really good place being built now!"
"That isn't the point," said Sasuke. "An Uchiha serving as your MAID?"
"Uhm, well technically she's part of my clan now - that WAS the deal," said Naruto.
"Are you two going to start fighting any particular time now?" asked Mizuki. "As in 'before I fail you both'?"
"Hey," complained Naruto, turning towards Mizuki. "It's not MY fault-"
Sasuke was darting across the practice square before he'd completed the thought that Naruto was wide open. He pivoted and drove his heel towards the idiot's unprotected head.
Except Naruto apparently saw it coming because he suddenly wasn't there anymore.
"Whoa," said Naruto, suddenly at the opposite end of the square. "Hey, I wasn't ready!"
"Point to Sasuke," said Mizuki. "Naruto, this is fight, not a dance. Again."
Sasuke turned, leapt, and kicked out. His timing was perfect. His attack dead-on. It was just that Naruto was yelping and twisting out of the way. And for the next attack, and the next one, and the one after that.
Sasuke grimaced as he stopped and tried to catch his breath.
"Naruto," asked Mizuki. "Are you trying to be a ninja or a dancer?"
"Hey, I ain't been given a chance to get ready you know," said Naruto.
"Idiot," answered Sasuke, straightening up and charging. "In a fight you don't GET a chance to get ready. Now, FIGHT!"
Naruto ducked under the punch, lashed out with a kick and -
was rather surprised when Sasuke Uchiha flew out of the square and slammed into a wall.
Mizuki considered that briefly, then shrugged. "Two points Uchiha. One point Uzumaki."
"Oh," said Naruto, lowering his foot. "I got a point."
"Someone revive Sasuke," said Mizuki.
"OMG! Mouth-to-mouth!" shrieked one girl.
Naruto watched the horror for a few moments then turned away. It was like one of those pictures where they put the raw meat into the water and these little fish started this feeding frenzy kind of thing.
Mizuki watched for a moment, then shrugged. He most definitely did NOT mutter under his breath about Demon Foxes. The last time he did that, he had three ANBU looking at him when he'd finished turning around. One had pointed at him and then pointed at the right eyehole on the mask. Easy message to interpret.
