Big Sister Kodachi: Memories of a Black Rose (LIME) [Episode 237625]

by Six of Emeralds

As Kodachi struggled to decide her brother's fate, she remembered how she became a Big Sister in the first place. She had volunteered in exchange for getting her father treated. Quite frankly, his Hawaii obsession was getting out of hand. Just the other day, he'd tried persuading her to wear a grass skirt and coconut top.

Kodachi lay on the table, clad only in her underclothes. She looked down at the restraining cuffs--a necessary precaution, in case she started convulsing. She looked away, focusing on the words of the doctor.

"First, we're going to administer the anesthetic, rendering you unconscious for the duration. Then we'll implant something called the Rapture slug, which will provide you with the basic abilities. Once that's done, all that's left is the vocal implant."

"Vocal implant?" Kodachi inquired.

"Someone might be able to recognize your voice. The implant, when active, will convert your vocal chords to produce sounds similar to those made by a dolphin. If you were a Big Brother, it would sound like a whale call."

Kodachi closed her eyes, wincing slightly as the needle entered her skin. As she drifted off, she realized they had never told her what the Little Sisters were gathering for. She didn't have time to think further, as she was soon out cold.

When she awoke, a little girl with pale skin and glowing eyes was sitting next to her, smiling.

Kodachi understood why her brother had attacked. With Satomi's unusual appearance, Kuno clearly believed her to be a demon. Regardless, Satomi was her responsibility.

But could she really kill her brother?
