Life with Mother Miyo, as Naruto started calling her, was very different from life at the orphanage. For instance, the house Mother Miyo was able to have constructed (under the Hokage's orders) to her specifications was a little larger than the Hyuga complex, and a lot larger than he was used to. Another thing was that Miyo often made him keep to a rather strict schedule, which went like this:
At 6:30, He would be woken up for morning meditation under a specially constructed waterfall.
At 7:30, He would return to his room for a quick toweling off, then it was a half-hour of calisthenics, or whatever Miyo called them. Whatever the were, they sure were tiring.
At 8:00, it was a breakfast of oatmeal, bread, and warm tea. There was no butter for his bread, nor any sugar for the oatmeal, much to his annoyance.
From 8:15 to 11:30, Naruto had lessons. From learning how to read and write to history and natural lore, all of it was making his head spin.
At 11:30, there would be a lunch of nuts and dried berries, as well as midday meditations within a sweltering hot sweat lodge Miyo had constructed in the courtyard, a stark contrast to meditating in the chilly waterfall.
At 12:15, Naruto had taijutsu and weapons training. Comments from various chunin who would come to watch often indicated that the training was VERY different from what was taught at the academy.
At 5:30, Naruto would have dinner. Unlike breakfast, dinner would be hot, spicey, and satisfying.
From 6:30 to 7:30, Naruto would do evening meditation, in a hotspring cavern accidently discovered by one of the construction workers.
From 7:30 to 8:00, Naruto and Miyo would go out into the woods to collect medicinal herbs.Naruto would have an hour of free time in his room before lights-out time at 9:00.
Naruto would often wonder about this schedule arangement, but as weeks went by, he got more and more used to it.
