She went to tiptoes, then shifted weight to her heels.
Bouncey bounce bounce
"...Those are new, aren't they?" asked the Hokage, reminding himself that the girl was TWELVE.
Sakura blinked her green eyes at the Hokage for a moment, then repeated the rising on her toes and dropping to her heels exercise again.
Bouncity bouncy bounce
"Let's see Ino top this," mumbled Sakura, smiling happily.
"She's a little medicated because she panicked when she woke up the first time," explained a doctor.
"Sasuke," realized the pink haired girl. "I've got to go see Sasuke."
"You can't-" began the doctor before the girl in question opened the window, spread her wings, and took off in a manner that indicated she thought gravity was simply an optional quality.
"So," said the Hokage. "She can fly. That might be handy. The ninja who have technique which allow them to do that are able to take on a variety of duties."
"She's still weak though," said the doctor as he leaned out the window to follow her progress.
"Well, that's good I suppose," said the Hokage. "At least that will limit the trouble she can get into. Cat, Owl. Go follow her and make sure she doesn't do too much damage. To herself or anything else."
Hinata hummed a happy little song.
It had been two days after they'd put Sakura Haruno (now sporting four wings among other additions) into the hospital after she'd been blown up into little glowy bits and rebuilt.
What was putting her into a particularly good mood though was that she was in Naruto's lab, where he was working on powerful earth-shaking NEW jutsu.
Okay, Kakashi Hatake had failed his team. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were now out of the ninja program. It wasn't getting Naruto down though - because he was working on these special jutsu and other things. Later, he was planning on becoming a wandering mage and seeing the world - eventually returning as something he called an 'archmage' or something.
It wasn't getting Sasuke down, well more than his usual brooding, because he was planning on using some of Naruto's jutsu as soon as he could.
Meanwhile, she was learning things from Kurenai-sensei in the morning and Naruto-kun in the evening!
"Hinata, big news!" declared Naruto as he ran up the metal stairs to the landing she was reading scrolls on.
"W-what is it, Naruto-kun?" asked Hinata, inwardly cursing that she'd stuttered as she got up from the desk.
"I just heard-"
