Mischief Fragment - Replugged: Four Elements [Episode 239537]

Danzo considered the report and pondered the idea. He'd known about these artificial ninja that Orochimaru had created and thought it a useless extravagance. He could create real ninja using real humans as the start, then breaking them repeatedly and training them up until they were proper tools.

If the resulting tools from Orochimaru's experiments had developed useful abilities, that would be one thing, but these did not come with such extras. The survivors in their tubes, studied by medics as injuries slowly regenerated, had no indication that they were anything but normal humans of less than stellar breeding.

The Ninetailed Brat was a different matter. The son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki had excellent lines, but was unfortunately about as sharp as a beach ball. Oh, he could be broken and remade into something useful, but the Hokage had his eye on the boy. That made the boy's "recruitment" into ROOT somewhat problematic.

Now the boy had developed useful skills using bastardized versions of the Uzumaki fuuinjutsu.

Danzo frowned slightly more than usual, causing those ROOT in attendance to shift uneasily. He would have to keep an eye on the boy, then steal his techniques if they truly turned out to be useful.

"Well, uhm," said Naruto, rubbing the back of his head.

"Naruto?" asked Iruka, looking pointedly at the woman in the back of the room. "I asked. Who is that?"

"I worked out these summoning cards," explained Naruto, holding up four cards. "Experimenting around. Each is an elemental spirit and able to control that element."

"So dismiss it," said Iruka.

A stone fist hit a stone palm and the being in the back glared at the teacher.

"Sorry, her," corrected Iruka, understanding something in that reaction.

The stone girl nodded and settled back against the wall.

"She's Oriad," said Naruto. "Anyway, I can't dismiss her. She's got to dismiss herself."

Iruka blinked, his eyes flicking from Naruto to Oriad and back. He'd already made a couple of connections there and the full implications of what he was seeing was now hitting him.

Naruto didn't do a lot of pranks. What he did was mainly revenge-pranking, and he normally tried to set it up so that it looked like he couldn't have been the one to do it. Mainly that last was to avoid scolding by his sisters.

When Naruto DID prank, he used seals in new and creative ways. Like when a bully had gone after his little sister, and somehow or other a storage seal containing gallons of waste product from a leather-tanning facility had somehow gotten into the boy's room and released those contents.

"So, that one is earth-element," noted Shikamaru, stirred to some interest. After all, if he could learn that - he could summon someone to do all the bothersome things. Like almost everything actually. Except that summoning would be just as much of a bother, wouldn't it?

"Undine - she's Water," said Naruto. "Oriad - Earth. Sylph - Wind. Then there's fire - but I haven't manifested her yet."

Toltiir watched and was momentarily amused as various classmates of Naruto looked at the boy with new appreciation and some envy. Sasuke, in particular, looked at the 'class clown' and seemed to consider the stone girl in the back with some contemplation.

Nobody involved seemed inclined to dismiss it as a useless technique.

These WERE independent beings capable of their own thoughts and opinions and reactions. They were all friendly to Naruto - but anyone with the appropriate card could summon them.

Though the humorous part to Toltiir was:
