As the group approached Seyruun, Lina could see Naga becoming more and more jittery. She'd even bought a large robe with a hood to better disguise herself. Lina was really curious as to what happened to Naga to make her so cautious around her own home town.
But considering her own actions whenever anyone even mentioned her big sister's name, Lina didn't particularly feel like saying anything to Naga about it.
Then... they were at Seyruun, capital city of the Kingdom of White Magic.
And they encountered their first obstacle: The guards at the gate.
"Halt!" said one, heavy set guard. "I recognize you!" he said, pointing his halberd at Zelgadis. "You're under arrest."
Lina sighed as everyone got ready to fight. None of them particularly wanted to fight their way into Seyruun...
Then Naga stepped forward. "Excuse me," she said in a soft voice much unlike her usual tones. "You don't want to hurt one of my... escort."
The guard snorted as his companions joined him. "And why not? He's a wanted felon, lady. You shouldn't travel with the likes of him."
Naga shook her head, still hidden by the robe. "Is Captain Thann still in charge of this gate?"
The guard blinked at the sudden change in topic. "Uhh... yeah..."
"Then I suggest you go get him so we can straightened this out." She said, indicating that should be the end of the matter.
The guard fumed. "Look, wench. I'm not gonna disturb the Captain just 'cause you say so over a wanted criminal! Men, Atta..."
A Freeze Arrow hit the ground in front of the guards. "Look, guardsman. You have two choices. You can either get Captain Thann so that we may discuss things in a civilized manner. Or you can attack. And my companions and I will defend ourselves. And probably destroy the gate and a good deal of the surrounding area with it, too. And we will still get in the city."
The guard swallowed heavily at that. He grew even more worried when he realized that the vast majority of this woman's companions had spells ready. And the two that didn't looked damn competent with their weapons...
"Aheh... I'll just go and get the captain now..."

Shortly after meeting Captain Thann, the group found themselves discreetly escorted to the palace. "So you know this Captain Thann?" Lina asked quietly.
Naga shrugged. "He used to babysit me when I was young.
"Ah."
They found themselves in a small meeting room, while runners went off to inform the royal family to come.
Amelia was the first to arrive, having just been told that some important guests had arrived. When she got there, her eyes nearly popped out of her head. "Miss Lina? Mr. Gourry? Zelgadis?"
Zelgadis raised an eyebrow at the lack of a 'Mister' before his name. But he grew even more worried when he took a good look at Amelia. She look horrible, her usually boundless energy was notably absent. There were dark rings under her eyes and her hair was a mess.
"Amelia? What's wrong?" he asked.
Amelia sniffed twice, and then Zelgadis nearly fell over as Amelia launched into him, wrapping him in a hug and crying into his chest. He uncomfortably hugged her back as she sobbed all her recent problems.
Naga blinked at this. It looked like Lina and Zelgadis here left something out of their recounts of the future. "So... Mister Zelgadis," she purred. "What exactly are your intentions toward my little sister?"
Zelgadis blushed as Amelia stiffened. Turning slowly, she looked at Naga with tear filled eyes. "Gr...Gracia?"
Naga suddenly lost her cocky attitude. "Uh... yeah. Hi, kiddo. Long time, no see." she mumbled, suddenly self conscious.
There was barely a heart beat, and then Naga found herself holding the bundle of weeping princess. What had happened to Amelia?! Naga silently swore that whatever it was, she was going to straighten it out. Not too surprisingly, that thought was shared by Lina, Zelgadis, and Gourry.
But then, they were interrupted, as Prince Phil arrived. He stood in the doorway, shocked almost beyond words. "Gracia? GRACIA!!" he yelled, joyously.
Now it was Naga's turn to stiffen up. Still holding Amelia, she glared at Phil. "Hello... daddy." she said with a scowl.
Lina and the others looked on in confusion. Now what was going on?
