"You want us to come after you with the intent to kill?" asked Pirotess, her entire pose one of confident lethality.
"To get two bells so that one of us can go back to the Academy," added Deedlit.
"Uhm," began Naruto, holding a hand up. "Can we get another test? I can't see this one going at all well."
"Genin squads are always in groups of three," pointed out Deedlit.
Pirotess rolled her eyes. "Well, thank you Ms. Obvious Elf."
"I'm simply pointing out to Naruto that this is one of those ninja tests," said Deedlit, levelling a glare at her dark elf counterpart.
"Ninja tests?" asked Naruto.
"Meaning that what you're being told isn't what it actually IS," said Deedlit. "The whole 'hidden meaning' and 'sneaking about' and such."
"Stealth, misdirection, distraction, and violence," said Pirotess, a cruel smile on her face. "I approve, actually."
"You would," said Deedlit.
"Do you mind if I start the test?" asked Aoba.
"Meh," said Pirotess, inspecting her manicure.
"Okay," said Naruto, running through his spells and jutsu in order to pick something appropriate.
"Start," said Aoba, leaping back in a ready position.
"Here," said Deedlit, holding up two bells on a string and handing them to Naruto. "Thank you, Sylph."
"Hmm," said Pirotess thoughtfully. She drew a large knife. "Splitting two bells three ways. So if I split both bells into three pieces each, we'll each have pieces of both bells, right?"
Aoba shook his head. "No need."
