Mischief Fragment - Replay: Orochimaru and the Incompetent Monsters [Episode 241282]

by Kestral

Orochimaru was powerful and could be subtle. That his past had changed was something he couldn't guess or do anything about. That he had experimented more with kekkei genkai than originally, or that he had a greater success rate than he had managed originally was something that he would have actually been gratified to know.

That he was now making monsters was something that he knew, but had some frustration regarding.

Mainly because some of his monsters refused to be sufficiently monstrous. Killing them for that lack of mental capability was something he had grown tired of.

"Riku? WHY exactly are you digging here?" asked Orochimaru of the giant creature.

"Water," grunted the creature, pointing down at his hole.

"And why are you trying to reach the water?" asked Orochimaru, knowing that the giant burrowing animal had a strictly low-level human intelligence. Which was mainly because the last super-genius monster he'd made had developed pacifistic tendencies and had tried to go off and find Enlightenment.

"Farms need water, farms make food, Riku likes food!" enthused the gigantic burrowing animal.

"So why not eat the farmers?" asked Orochimaru.

Riku cocked his head at his creator briefly. "Farmers grow food. Farmers no grow food if Riku eat farmers."

"I see," said Orochimaru, deciding that he would have to lower the intelligence of his monsters even further if even Riku was capable of that much logic.

Setsuna shuddered.

"Another vision?" asked Kurenai.

Setsuna nodded and motioned to the bartender.

"That bad?" asked Anko.

"I got a glimpse of Anko's future," answered Setsuna.

"Oh?" asked Anko.

"Some Seen things cannot be unSeen," said Setsuna. "Therefore I need something really strong."

"Oh? Death, pain, destruction?" asked Anko.

"I knew you were flexible," said Setsuna after knocking back a shot glass of something amber. "I knew you were kinky. I knew you had issues."

"Oh," said Anko, blinking before shrugging. "You caught a glimpse of my love life?"

"She's going to need something stronger," said Kurenai to the bartender.

"Usagi Uzumaki," said the little girl, bowing to the classroom. It was a pity that Tsunade-mama had lost her on another bet, but at least she was in a village now. "Please be kind to me."

"'Uzumaki'?" asked Kiba Inuzuka. "Any relation to That Kid?"

"I have no idea," answered Usagi honestly.

"I got a name, ya know?" asked That Kid. "It's 'Naruto Uzumaki'!"

"Naruto? Stop standing on your desk and making dramatic proclamations," said Iruka with a tone of voice that indicated he was well and truly tired of some things. "It's annoying."
