Sirius scowled, but Phil just shrugged.
"Sairaag is not on my lands. There is nothing I can do about the bounty. I can keep Zelgadis and his companions safe while they are here, but once you leave the city..."
Sirius sighed, then nodded in frustration. "The Bounty Hunters will start attacking again. It seems we shall have to take care of that mess, after all..."
Just then, a page walked into the room, and bowed to the prince. "Your Highness!" he said, "I fear I bring bad news."
Phil shared a worried glance with Sirius. "And that is?"
The boy fumbled a bit before starting. He knew Phil was a good man and a good ruler... but he'd also heard what happened to the bearers of bad news. "Um... two things. Someone must have heard of Mister Zelgadis's presence in the palace. A couple of bounty hunters are here, demanding we turn over the 'prisoners' to them to take to Sairaag."
Phil groaned. He thought it would take longer than that for word to get out. "And the other?"
The page swallowed audibly. "Umm... the Generals think Zoana is going to attack Seyruun. They've been working on getting their Super Golem repaired for use again..."
Now Phil winced. Even with the Super Golem, Zoana was too small a country to have any chance of wining against Seyruun (He would have called it a City State... but they actually did have two separate cities.) But they could cause a lot of damage before they were stopped.
Sirius also frowned. Somehow, he knew that this was in some way, another result of how they had changed the past.
"I don't suppose there is any good news, is there?"
"Well, you highness," the page said after a moment, "The holy men of the city are back. They think they have a way to determine what has happened to her highness Amelia..."
Phil and Sirius sighed in unison...
