"I found them, and it seemed too perfect not to use them," said Pluto. "This is from another pantheon entirely, we met at an Underworld Convention some time ago."
"I didn't even know there WAS such a thing," admitted Hephaestus.
"Oh, I've got a rivalry going with Enma over creative use of divine justice," said Pluto. "The boy I'm plaguing is a bit of a traditionalist and enjoys wearing hakama so these are actually perfect."
"They eat silk, wool, cotton, and some artificial fabrics," said Hephaestus, reading the label. "Safe for use with leather, hair, and feathers. They prefer silk though, eh? Clothes-eating moths."
"They also only survive for thirty days and can only breed in selmenica trees," pointed out Pluto.
"Which are only found in elven forests," noted Hephaestus. "Been to a few elven revels?"
Pluto inclined his head. "My wife finds such things... stimulating."
"Ah, well," said Hephaestus, bushy eyebrows raising. "Say no more, squire."
"Wasn't going to," said Pluto, making the jar of moths disappear with a wave of his hand.
There was a distant crash as it landed somewhere in Nerima.
"Pity about my kunoichi though," said Hephaestus. "Spent some time on the outfits."
"Well, you can either design new outfits, or you can always have them use strong scents on the fabric to repel the moths," said Pluto.
The moths swarmed up and out in their thousands, then immediately set their unquenchable appetites to work.
