Temple Days: Problems for heroes [Episode 24382]

Ranma wasn't too sure about this magic stuff. The more he associated with it, the less he liked it.

Well, at least back home.

"We can't give you much, but with Ranma here you should be able to accomplish the rescue of Sereni," offered one of the dark elves.

"Yeah, yeah, rescue the girl from the bad guy, got lotsa experience with that," said Ranma, thinking of magical princes, Tarou, and everyone else who kidnapped Akane on a semi-regular basis. "You'll have the cure for my curse when I'm done, right?"

"As has been said before, yes." The priestess considered Ranma briefly. "Though before you return to those girls, I would ask you to do one more thing."

Ranma was instantly alert, thinking that sounded like some Nabiki-esque negotiations/blackmail was about to take place.

"They are young, in the manner of their respective races, and lack your greater experience," continued the priestess. "They'll need some help. The priestess focussed on Ranma. "I'm just asking you to be their friend and look out for them when they get in over their head."

"Gotcha," repeated Ranma as he heard this wasn't going to involve something too bad. He'd been afraid for a moment he'd be requested to wear some skimpy outfit or something.

"They are more familiar with the way our world works than you are, so you're going to have to listen to them as well, Ranma." The priestess sighed. "I just wish I could go along, but drow are not well thought of in the world outside."

Ranma tried to remember what he could of Nabiki's manga. It wasn't like he'd been a fan of the series. Wasn't that Ami supposed to be a bookworm type? Probably needed someone to carry stuff for her too. "Sure thing."

"Good luck," offered the priestess. "May Eilistraee watch over you."

"No problem," said Ranma, sincere in this.

At least for the moment.

He hadn't realized the first problem they'd run into was:
