"GET THEM!" yelled a Dark Elf, leaping through the dome with several others.
"You thought you'd tricked me, but we'll see about that," said Bounti the Hypnotica.
"Eep!" predictably said Hinata.
"Defend Naruto-master," said Yuri, drawing a pair of clubs out of her coveralls.
"?!" managed Sakura and Ino, who were still mostly out of it due to the hypnotic jutsu and processing they'd undergone.
"NO YOU DON'T!" yelled another group of girls as they charged the dome and made it across.
The dome flickered and vanished, with a few late arrivals now being alone in the clearing.
"That should be quite interesting," said Urd.
"Either that or a first class clusterdump," said Peorth, shaking her head.
"I see," said Jiraiya. "It does resemble the sort of seal used by the Fourth on his special kunai."
The Third Hokage made an idle-seeming gesture and the paper landed in the center of the courtyard, pinned by four senbon at each corner.
"So how long before..." began Jiraiya, who let the sentence dangle when a dot of silver fire appeared over the seal. "Never mind."
The third merely smirked, put his hands behind his back, and glanced over the various ANBU and clan heads who'd followed them there. An "instant travel" jutsu had repercussions that all of them could see - especially as Naruto could carry others with him.
The dot of silver fire swelled to the size of a baseball, then shifted to become an opaque dome.
"So the teleport is actually a sphere, it's just we only see the top half of the sphere," noted Jiraiya aloud in case any of the other attendees were not quite so observant.
The Hokage put his pipe away and rotated his shoulders. The dome was bigger than the one that had left, and it seemed to waver and flicker. "Something's wrong."
"Understood," said Jiraiya, likewise already dropping into a more ready stance.
Taking their cue from the sannin and the Hokage, various ANBU also went from relaxed to prepared.
The dome dropped away abruptly, Naruto being punched hard enough that he was briefly launched in the air to land unconscious on the ground.
There were girls there. Some of whom had TAILS. Some were brown-skinned, others were lighter in hue, with a fight going on in which the sides were not immediately apparent.
"Mistress! Back to back!" called out one of the brown-skinned pointed-eared girls, who moved to place her back near that of Hinata Hyuga.
"R-right," stammered the Hyuga girl. "Byakugan!"
The Hokage frowned, stepped forward, and then simply clapped his hands.
The sonic assault caused a line of dust to puff out of the air, some sections of the courtyard's pavement cracking, and the air itself shimmered briefly.
All of the girls in the courtyard stumbled, most of them falling over from the assault and several twitching and looking stunned.
"Get him!" commanded one of the brown-skinned white-haired pointed-ear girls who was wearing more ornate leather armor than her fellows. They had recovered faster, and the majority of brown-skinned pointed-ears seemed to follow her lead.
Three of the brown-skinned girls broke off from their fights to charge towards the Hokage.
Frowning ever so slightly, the Hokage simply took a breath and focussed the sort of Killing Intent upon his attackers that one would expect possible of the Hokage of the Leaf Village.
The three attacking him went down under the assault, screaming.
"Doton," said Jiraiya, his hands going through seals rapidly. "Doryuha!"
A wave of earth rose up, capturing most of those present on the courtyard.
One, the brownskinned woman with the slightly more elaborate armor, broke free. She managed two steps before Jiraiya blurred, casually tapped her on the forehead, and stated simply: "You lose."
The elaborate leather armor-wearer folded to land in an untidy heap.
"Now," said the Hokage. "Let's just gather everyone up and see if we can get some answers, shall we?"
One of the brownskinned women picked herself up, walked over to the Hokage, and then fell to her knees before him?
Jiraiya and the rest of the audience watched, not sure what was going on as the woman further lowered herself, touching her forehead to the ground in the Hokage's direction.
"Are you going to cooperate then?" asked the Hokage, steel in his voice.
"Yes, Master," said the woman. "You have defeated me, shown your strength to be beyond my former Mistress. I am now yours to command."
There was some blinking and a few perplexed looks among the audience. Jiraiya, on the other hand, looked VERY thoughtful all of a sudden.
"I don't understand any of this," said Naruto. "I wish someone would explain it to ME."
Jiraiya considered the boy in the hospital bed, glanced at the vase with a few flowers in it by the bedside, and decided to start simple. "You are a boy. There are also these others called girls. Hinata is a girl. Sometimes a girl likes a boy and wants to be a really really good friend of his..."
"ACK!" said Naruto. "Not THAT."
"Pity," said Jiraiya. "I brought charts and graphs and pictures."
"Nononononono," said Naruto. "That's fine. Got that part."
"Well, if you're sure," said Jiraiya, sounding disappointed. "I was thinking some of the jutsu might interest you at least."
