A single figure stood on a dune overlooking the city. His clothing was dirty and rumpled from his travels, and he seemed to have stopped to only to look at what lay before him. His head was wrapped in cloth, save for his eyes, which were covered by goggles. As for luggage, it seemed that he only carried a single canteen and a pouch, both of which seemed to be as sandmarked and well used as he was.
Lifting the piece of cloth covering his face, Ranma Saotome uncapped his canteen and took a long swig from it. Allowing the cool liquid to refresh his parched throat, he let himself remember what had led him to this. Of the accident with the artifact, and the resulting problems that had caused. Then he had gone to visit that odd seer who had convinced him of her powers before telling him how to repair what had been done.
"Go, and travel to the land on the map," she had told him, "There you will find the one who will help you on your quest. Look for the one:
