As genie Soun-chan was compelled to fulfill the wish, ‘he’ discovered that, yes, indeed, this elderly businessman had the mind of daughter Nabiki. Soun’s most heartfelt desire that Kimiko would return would become a reality! And the same wish would also fulfill Soun's second greatest desire, that Happosai would never bother him again! Soun was somewhat let down when it was discovered that Kimiko’s spirit was beyond the power of even the Djinn. But fortunately, clever Nabiki had provided a backup clause! Soun’s magically enhanced recollections and the magically scavenged memories of many minds allowed the construction of an excellent facsimile of Kimiko. By the time the genie was finished, Soun had spent enough effort completing the project that breaking down in tears about it was no longer a temptation.
Nabiki-kun was sucked into the lamp as Soun-chan was released. Soun lost no time picking up the lamp and completing matters with a first wish.
