Silence reigned at the dinner table, only broken by Ranma and Usagi swallowing their food, the Wild Horse eating with at least a bit of poise and manners.
Finally, Nabiki clapped her hands for everyone's attention, "Alright, I've already had a few offers on the spare rooms here, so I just want to make sure you know what's going to happen in the next few days."
She looked over the residents, "So far, we've got two girls to a room, right?"
Most of the girls nodded in various degrees of distaste, though Setsuna did raise her hand to say, "I'm alone in my room at the moment, but I wouldn't mind rooming with Kasumi-san."
The mercenary Tendo frowned at the older woman, "It's creepy how you do that." Setsuna only smiled mysteriously.
Coughing twice, Nabiki continued, "We currently have three open rooms. We can sleep two to three people in each, once we get them furnished..."
"I'll take care of the beds and desks and stuff," Ranma piped up, "won't be that hard..."
Nabiki raised an eye at this, "Do I even want to know?"
The boy turned girl shrugged sheepishly, "Believe it or not, there really is a master of Martial Arts Carpentry."
Several of the girls looked at her oddly but when Setsuna nodded at the aqua-transsexual, they kept their mouths shut.
Nabiki cleared her throat again, "Well anyways, we have a number of applicants already. After going through the list, I have decided that the first new resident here will be..."
"Uh..." Ranma interrupted. When Nabiki glanced over to her, she flushed, "Sorry. Just noticed..." she trailed off nervously, staring at an item next to Haruka's plate.
Nabiki followed her gaze and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, "Haruka-san? Why, exactly, did you bring those to the dinner table?"
The short haired blonde just grinned picked up the leather ball-gag and pair of handcuffs that she had next to her plate, "These are for later, in case Rei-chan starts whining after dinner. To be honest, I really don't want to have to listen to her all night."
Silence fell over the table for a moment, until Rei hesitantly asked, "Um, you did wash those first, right?"
"Consider it incentive to behave..."
