“Hey, Urt!”
The yellow figure, sitting in a comfortable chair, reading his latest issue of ‘Deadly Pigeon Monthly’ fought to keep a twitch from developing. “What is it, Bernie?”
Not that he cared what had brought his orange-skinned ally to him, but he knew that unless he asked, the creature would proceed to become more and more annoying, until he finally received Urt’s attention.
“I got a great idea from Rubber Ducky, on how we can finally defeat those Senshi!” he cheered.
Squeaky-squeaky!
It also seemed that the rubber duck he carried with him was being used to celebrate as well. The damned thing was creepy, almost like it was alive, with how it’s googly eyes followed you around.
The lit cigar in its beak didn’t help matters.
Urt paused for a bit, wondering if he should ask what the plan was, or somehow hint to Bernie that he should go off and enact it.
Deciding that yes, he did not want to be a test subject for the Professor’s newest weapon—he still shivered at the sight of what the Green Beast formula had turned the Professor’s assistant into a creature screaming about youthful fires—he felt it best to err on the side of caution. “What what is this plan, Bernie?”
“Not my plan, Urt!” Bernie replied. “It’s Rubby Ducky’s plan!”
Squeaky-squeaky!
I can’t believe I’m doing this… “And what is their plan?”
“Simple, Urt!” Bernie replied. “Rubber Ducky says we should send a super sentai team of evil power rangers after them!”
“… What?”
“Yep!” happily nodded the orange creature. “Rubber Ducky even created them!” He turned around. “Come out guys and introduce yourselves!”
Must to Urt’s shock—though he was beginning to feel a bit jaded at his associate’s antics considering it wasn’t nearly as much as he thought it should have been—five humanoid beings in different colored outfits with duck-billed helmets leapt to the orange creature’s side.
Squeaky-squeaky-Red!
Squeaky-squeaky-Pink!
Squeaky-squeaky-Blue!
Squeaky-squeaky-Black!
Squeaky-squeaky-Yellow!
“… They can talk?” Urt asked, a bit more shocked—at least at a level he felt warranted the fact that five humanoid sentai rubber ducks could do something other than squeak.
Squeaky-squeaky? asked Blue.
Yep, the twitch was back in full force.
“Khekhekhekhekhekhe!” the orange monster laughed. “With our Rubber Ducky Super Sentai Team of Evil, we will finally take out those naughty Senshi!”
Squeaky-squeaky!
“Hey!” Bernie howled, looking at his smoking rubber ducky. “I helped plan this too, you know!”
Squeaky-squeaky!
“Well, yes; I promise to tell Our Grand Leader that you should get the majority of the credit!”
Urt just blinked his eyes, as it looked for a moment, as if the smoking cigar in the plastic bath toy’s beak actually changed sides. “And just where did you get them?” he asked, motioning to the color-coded humanoid ducks of rubber, seriously hoping that the bath toy didn’t create them out of thin air.
Actually, it was kind of sad that he could at least tell that Bernie had stitched their costumes together.
“Muffin button,” Bernie answered.
“That was broken last month when Our Grand Leader’s Ultimate Beauty broke it for trying to give her a low-fat/low-carb Muffin.”
Squeaky-squeaky!
“Oh!” Bernie stated. “Rubby Ducky says he put an ad on Greg’s List.”
“… Really?”
“Do you doubt Rubber Ducky, Urt?” he friend asked, eyes narrowed.
“No-no!” the yellow-skinned monster stated, waving frantically. “I was just wondering why he would—”
Squeaky-squeaky-Green!
“GAH!” Urt screamed, falling down and pointing at the sixth Ducky Ranger. “What the hell!?”
“Oh, Urt,” Bernie shook his head sadly. “Don’t you know the rules behind any Super Sentai Ranger Themed Team? The sixth Ranger always shows up around the midpoint!”
“Let’s… Let’s just go tell the leader your plan and get it over with,” Urt muttered, making a note in his magazine not to do something similar with the Undead Pigeons he was planning to order.
Because that would have just been silly.
