Moon Prince: Ucchan's [Episode 24504]

by Kestral

Ukyo opened for a very early morning clientele.

Sarariman and construction workers in Japan started at an hour that would have given Usagi a fit. Dawn was something viewed from the worksite.

So if they could stop by and get a fresh hot breakfast okonomiyaki and a hot cup of coffee - that was a good thing. Some did it "to go" and munch away while milling around like hungry zombies at the train station.

Others stopped and took a few moments to eat before heading to the station.

Ucchan's had regular customers who were not insanely powerful martial artists but respectable members of the community.

When they found Ukyo barely able to perform and in tears, they immediately knew it was something involving Ranma - and mainly were bored. Ho hum. Saotome did something stupid again.

As the papers and photos were passed around, reactions changed as perceptions of the Saotome boy changed. From perpetuator of madness to a victim.

The mood in Ucchan's turned somber as businessmen thoughtfully put paper back on the central table and went off to their 4am-7pm shifts, feeling momentary gratitude that they hadn't gone through things like that.

Setsuna looked down. "Looks like the girls have caught up."

"Hmmmm," hmmmed a thoughtful Ranma.

"You might give us a chance," said Setsuna's soft voice. "Who knows, one of us might be able to help."

Ranma blinked at that but Setsuna was already gone by the time the words penetrated.
