Mischief Fragment - Videogame: Walk Down To Eclectic Avenue [Episode 245555]

"He's learning all sorts of things," mused the Third Hokage. "There is little I can do though. I wish I could, but a Hokage must not show too much favoritism even considering who he is."

"I don't understand myself," said Yugao, looking past the Hokage out the window. There was a decent view of the Hokage monument. She hadn't met the First or Second Hokage, of course. She had met the Fourth, though she'd been very young back then. That bright yellow shock of hair that had gotten him the name 'Yellow Flash'... ?!

The Third Hokage blinked, wondering why Yugao Uzuki had just gone to wide-eyed staring and slack-jawed. He turned partially to look out the window and saw only the Hokage Monument.

"The 'Fourth's Legacy'," said Yugao.

"Yes," said the Third Hokage.

"You've called the boy that a few times," said Yugao. "Of course, even so, you can't do anything - being the Hokage. Anything you do is most likely scrutinized and spied upon. Politics. Can't show any favoritism."

"True," said the Third, looking at all the paperwork. Honestly, he was tempted to come up with a paperwork-finishing jutsu.

"I see, I had best get back to my duties," said Yugao, donning her ANBU mask again.

"Very well, keep me informed if anything major occurs," said the Hokage. Hmph. About bloody time someone got the hint.

Hayate coughed and spat as they went down the path into the training ground. "You're not going to tell me WHY are you?"

"S-Rank secrets," said Yugao.

"I hate those," admitted Hayate. "Yeah, I know we're a ninja village, but having good intel is necessary in ANY line of work."

"Excuse me, little boy?" said Yugao to the kid who'd been practicing with what was quite obviously a sword nobody had thought worth the effort of retrieving from some scrapyard.

"Eh?" asked Naruto.

"I need to get some sparring time in with my boyfriend here," said Yugao, gesturing. "So if you'll just take to the side and let us get done, then you might pick up a few pointers yourself."

"Oh," said Naruto, blinking as he thought about that. "Okay."

"Blacksmithing?" asked Paopao, moving his cigarette to the other side of his mouth. "Well, if you want to learn - there's some kunai that need to have the dings pounded out."

Naruto sighed, but picked up the hammer and began. It was a start at least.

"Chakra paper?" asked Iruka, looking at the paper in his student's hand.

"So what does it mean when it's split like this?" asked Naruto eagerly.

"Uhm," hemmed Hinata, holding a piece of paper that was split and soggy.

"Hey! Mine must be defective, it isn't doing anything!" said Sakura.

"Mine just sort of crumbled away," said Choji. "Hope that doesn't mean anything bad."

Shikamaru shook his head. "This 'game' is way too troublesome, Naruto."

"Medical jutsu?"

"Apparently he's been really remarkable with wind and fuuinjutsu."

"But still... medical?"

"He fixed that Lee kid's arm, didn't he?"

Iruka glanced over the class. If only Naruto would stay awake during class, he wouldn't be as far behind the others as he was.

Well, it would be over today. Final exams with tests on taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu. The scores from those would be added to the final score, so Naruto still had a chance to pass.
