So Naruto was now an Immortal. The 'Elixir' that all such immortals used to renew themselves was different - some not even a liquid. There were one or two who required alcoholic beverages in order to recharge.
Naruto's was ramen.
That the Being in question had also done that bit with the relationship/empowerment had truly thrown a monkey wrench into a few things.
He could obviously order the groups to be shuffled around a bit. He was "in a relationship" with Hinata Hyuga and Tenten now. Or at least had agreed to it, at kunai point. Not that this was particularly unheard of in the shinobi world. There were a fair number of courtships between ninja and kunoichi where the amount of property destruction being involved was taken as an indicator of the passions being involved.
So far, the information had not been greatly dispersed. The only ones to know of it so far were: himself, Ibiki, Mizuki, Iruka, Hinata, Tenten, oh and those civilians at Ichiraku's.
Trying to keep it secret would likely prove impossible for any measure short of killing everyone involved, which he was not inclined to do.
Danzo would, but he was not Danzo.
On the "just is not going to be a secret for long" were the obvious physical changes to Naruto. He was six inches taller, and still lean but more muscular. There were marks on his skin. One set on his forehead, one set on either cheekbone above the whisker marks.
And then there was this whole bit about those who befriended him gaining special talents. Oh, when THAT bit got out there were going to be... consequences.
Oh, and the nature of those abilities? Interesting.
Okay. This is interesting.
Tenten was unsure about how else to put it. She'd activated her ability and was currently aware of herself as a sort of disembodied ghost.
She was also aware of herself as a bo staff that could uncouple into a three-section-staff or sansetsukon. One that, oddly enough, had an elemental affinity.
Naruto held out the bo staff, twirling it around a few times. "You know, I don't know how to use this."
Apparently it doesn't matter as long as I know how to use it. And I do. Lightning Release! Shockwave!
Naruto looked at the slightly charred place where the tree had been hit. "Doesn't look like much."
It's a tree, and it's grounded. Lightning attacks of that strength won't do much. Against a human, it'll be more impressive. Huh. Took a lot out of me. Probably something to practice and get better at. I'm losing the transformation.
Tenten landed on her hands and knees as the staff dissolved.
"Okay," said Iruka, overseeing things. "Hinata, you're up."
"Ha-hai," said Hinata nervously. She shook her arms to loosen them, took a quick in and out cleansing breath to center herself. Then reached within herself, finding the little switch that being Naruto's girlfriend (sort of) gave her.
Hinata faded away, and a weapon formed in Naruto's hands.
