Mischief Fragment - Replay: Sakura's Wish: Here's... Satsuki? [Episode 246948]

by Kestral

"Hmmm, ominous," said Cherry, making a pass over the pot containing the stew. "But interesting."

"What is?" asked Kakashi.

Sasuke got up, and slowly walked to where Sakura was sitting. Except that she very quickly wasn't sitting there, but running towards the door.

"You don't want to do that," mumbled Cherry. "If you go outside, the changes will affect you too."

"'Changes'?" asked Naruto, mostly in shock.

Cherry nodded and stirred the pot. "As far as Konoha and the rest of the world is concerned, because that girl wished that the young man there was in a lesbian relationship with her - he was always a girl."

"Oh, that's not good," said Kakashi.

Sasuke stopped. Sakura stopped at the threshold.

"Excuse me?" said Sasuke.

"Give it an hour or so," said Cherry. "Look, see."

"What..." said Sasuke, stalking over to look into the pot.

"She's a girl," said the woman, holding the pink bundle up.

"Well then," said the man. "We would have named a boy 'Sasuke' so let's name her 'Satsuki' shall we?"

"Satsuki Uchiha," said the woman, sounding the name off and then nodding. "That's a fine name."

"Urk," said Sasuke, stepping back. "That was... Mother. Father."

Sakura tried to remain silent and unnoticed.

Cherry nodded. "Since her wish was for you to be her 'girlfriend' - that can mean a lot at your age. Oh. Look at this."

The little girl looked up at her mother. "What's with that boy?"

"Oh him?" asked Mikoto. "That's... a boy we can't talk about."

"But WHY?" asked the little girl.

"Satsuki, we're ninja. Ninja have secrets," said Mikoto. "I just wish he really was Kushina's kid."

"Who's Kushima?"

"Kushina Uzumaki was a very good friend of mine," slightly exaggerated Mikoto. "When we were both pregnant we talked about the possibility of engaging her son to my daughter."

Satsuki made a face. "Boys are icky."

"Well, true, at least some of the time," admitted Mikoto. "Sometimes, they can be muleheaded, loudmouthed, self-important idiots. However, that's usually just once a month. Or when your father's been playing poker. On the other hand, if he WAS Kushina's little boy - I'd want you to at least offer to be his friend."

"Icky," repeated Satsuki, looking at the little blonde boy running down the street.

Satsuki stared at the scene as it faded out, then over to a wildly blushing Naruto, then back to the stew pot. "NO FREAKING WAY! NO NEVER! NEVER EVER! NO!"

Naruto found himself in complete agreement with Sasuke. "Agreed. Not gonna happen!"

"Urk," unintentionally indicated Sakura.

"Well, I suppose that would be one way that all three of you could get along better," mumbled Kakashi.

"NO FREAKING WAY!" indicated all three genin.

"Ah, this looks ominous," said Cherry, drawing Sasuke's attention back to the stew and an image that Sasuke knew very well.

"You- you killed them all... WHY?!"

"Hmph, little sister, you have no idea what it is to be the clan heir. To seek strength before anything else. To be stronger is the only thing that matters."

"NO! I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" yelled Satsuki. "This is why I HATE boys!"

"You do not hate enough," said Itachi, his eyes shifting into a different configuration. "You are not worth my time, little sister. Sleep."

"Waitaminute," said Sasuke, blinking as the scene faded out. "I've been blaming BOYS instead of just That Man?!"

"Okay, that's screwed up," offered Kakashi.

"No wonder you're a lesbian," offered Cherry. "Very bad. Anyone ready for dinner?"
