The glow built up and discharged.
"-was that, oh," said Sakura as Sasuke began to change. "I DIDN'T MEAN THAT!!!"
"Most ominous," said Cherry, stirring the pot of stew he was making.
Sasuke glared at Sakura, his head moving as he grew shorter by a couple of inches. NARUTO screwing something like this up - he could see. But Sakura? Honestly, what was it with girls that they shut their brains down around him.
Sasuke grew more slender and wiry, his clothes seeming to get a little more baggy. His eyes seemed to get bigger, with longer lashes. A faint trace of pink lipbalm appeared on slightly fuller lips. His hair lengthened out of its ducktail appearance and was secured with a little blue ribbon.
Sasuke winced as he felt other things shift around.
Because he had been a TWELVE year old boy, and age hadn't changed, some things didn't change. For now.
"Sakura," growled Sasuke, managing to convey quite a bit of incipient violence in that single word.
"Sasuke?! I didn't mean..." Sakura backed away from the angry Uchiha. Then she realized what would happen if they returned to Konoha and the other members of the fanclub found out what had happened. She was dead, running on borrowed time.
