Toltiir had created a mechanism, an interface, which would handle all the pesky little details. Currently set for [Sakura Haruno] on the subject, and the replace field for [Random] - it could potentially put ANYONE in the kunoichi slot.
Thought there WAS a filter in place that the kunoichi had to be female. Having someone male in the third person slot would be entirely too 'left field' after all.

Several months previously.
"Okay, Team 7. Kakashi Hatake? He never passes anyone. Likes the 'lone brooding ninja' image too much."
Iruka nodded. "Tradition is to set the 'Rookie Of The Year', 'Top Kunoichi', and 'Dead Last' together on a team to balance out."
"Yeah, and look how well THAT has worked out," said Manami. "Team Sarutobi? The only one still showing any loyalty to the village is a wandering pervert slash novelist."
Iruka nodded to the kunoichi chunin who was in charge of the library of the school. "Okay. I see your point. However, they WERE an effective team until they broke up."
"So," said Hiroyuki, the chunin in charge of security who was filling Mizuki's spot on this panel. "Rookie Of The Year is that broody Uchiha kid, right? Dead Last is Uzumaki?"
"Right, one point below Kiba Inuzuka and two below Shikamaru Nara." Iruka checked a scroll. "Nara was deliberately putting himself there, trying for near the back of the group but not at the dead last position."
"Hmmmm," hmmmed Hiroyuki. "You think it was because the Academy transcripts are public record and he wanted to avoid drawing any attention to himself?"
"No, most likely it was just laziness," said Iruka.
"Sounds about right," said Manami. "What of the 'Top Kunoichi' then? Would that be that Haruno girl?"
"No, she recently slipped," admitted Iruka. "When she was practicing off a new acrobatics manuever, she found a beehive. Missed a week of school."
"So who IS the 'Top Kunoichi'?" asked Kazuhiko from his position near a window.
"No clear winner in overall," said Iruka, unfurling a scroll and then pointing at various names. "Top in taijutsu. Top in general education. Top in genjutsu. Top in ninjutsu. Top scorer in shurikenjutsu. Top kunoichi in terms of the traps and tracking portion. Every one of them was best in one thing and worst in another field."
"What about this one?" asked Manami, tapping on one student record with her finger.
"Her?" asked Hiroyuki. "Isn't she the exchange kunoichi?"
"'Exchange'?" asked Kazuhiko, still sitting by the window.
"At the end of the last Ninja War, it was decided to exchange a kunoichi-candidate from one village to another," said Suzume, otherwise not even looking up from her book. "It was a tradition from the old hostage-exchanges that were used in various treaties in the past."
"Ah," said Kazuhiko. "So, no reason NOT to use her as the team kunoichi here."
"Right, she didn't start out of our village - and it's possible she'll go back to her original village eventually, but normally that doesn't happen," said Manami.
"So we use her to fill out Team 7?" asked Iruka, looking down at the name of:
