"What are you talking about, Passing Deity-san?" asked Kakashi, getting a BAD feeling.
"I had initiated the changing of the Team 7 kunoichi from Sakura Haruno to someone else, but that wasn't who I intended to use."
"A replacement for Sakura? But who-" began Naruto.
"Otherwise I definitely wouldn't have used Yuno Gasai."
"Who-" began Sasuke.
Two years previously:
"Sasuke-kun will be mine!" declared Ino.
"I have to break up our friendship, Ino. Because Sasuke will be MINE," declared Sakura.
"You're both too plain," said Ami. "Sasuke-kun will be mine!"
An evil aura built up in the room, shadows seeming to run together and then congeal like old grease.
Something moved in that darkness.
"No," said the girl in question, her eyes unblinking and cold. "Sasuke-sama is Mine."
"Oh, and what are you going to do about it?" asked Ino.
"AIEEEEEEEEEEE!"
The boys all stopped their jutsu practice in order to look towards the room.
"STOP THAT! THAT HURTS! EEEEE!"
"Huh," said Kiba.
"YOU CRAZY BITCH! YOU BROKE MY ARM ARGHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Uhm," said Naruto, backing away as he felt as if something of great darkness was stirring within the classroom.
"NOOOOOOO! NOT THE FACE! NOT MY FACE!"
Sasuke stopped shuriken practice as he began having a flashback to That Night.
"NO! PUT THAT DOWN! AAHHHHHHH-grgl!"
"The way that kind of ended in a gurgle causes me considerable concern," admitted Shikamaru.
The door to the classroom opened, a shaking Hinata exited the room, closed the door behind her and started walking away from it in a manner that suggested she was both sneaking and trying not to run screaming for the horizon.
"Hinata?" asked Naruto, remembering the girl's name.
KA-GLOMP!
"EHHH?!" asked Naruto as he found a girl clinging to him and having absolutely NO idea what to do about such an unexpected event.
"NOOOO! DON'T! YOU'LL GET IN TROUBLEAARRGHHH!"
Several of the boys looked nervously at each other, all looking towards the classroom.
"GKKKK! GLGG-"
The door opened. Yuno stepped out.
"Gee. What a surprise," said Shikamaru, apparently resting where he was laying on a bench but his hands were in a seal to activate his shadow manipulation jutsu.
"Hinata? You're not going to try for MY Sasuke, are you?" asked Yuno sweetly.
"Yuno? You're dripping on the sidewalk." Kiba pointed helpfully.
"It's not my blood," said Yuno.
Iruka was abruptly there, glanced into the room, then backhanded Yuno into a tree. "Medics!"
"That wasn't very nice, Iruka-sensei!" said Yuno as she got up.
"I- I- I-" Hinata clutched her support tightly. "I like Naruto-kun!"
"Oh?" asked Yuno before she was abruptly buried in snakes.
"What the HELL is going on here?" asked some woman in a trenchcoat as she stood on the fence.
"Present:"
Naruto frowned and partially turned to Sasuke. "Did you just have a horrific flashback to when Sakura Haruno dropped out of the Academy?"
"Uhm, yeah," said a paler-than-usual Sasuke. "Yuno?"
"Right," said Naruto.
"This does not bode well," said Kakashi.
"So Sakura Haruno drops out of the Academy and finds her intellect well-suited for following in her father's footsteps and working as a trader," mused the cloud.
"They're letting HER back in?!" practically-screeched Ino.
"No choice," said Iruka. "If they banned crazy people from being ninja, who'd be left?"
"She's beyond crazy!" indicated Ino. "She's sociopathic."
"If they banned sociopaths from being ninja, there certainly would be a lot fewer ninja," mused Iruka. "Especially from Kiri."
"How are you going to provide for the safety of your students?" asked Ami, fingering the mask that covered the worst of the scars.
"According to the Council - we don't. I understand the Hokage didn't like that, but the consensus was that she's just too valuable not to use," said Iruka, shrugging slightly.
"What?!" asked Ino. "What can she do that's so valuable?"
"She was killed when it was brought up what she did in the classroom that day," said Iruka. "I saw it. She got a kunai clean through her chest, it imbedded on the wood on the other side. She died. Then she got back up."
"What?" asked Ino.
"She's been killed three times," said Iruka, ticking them off on his fingers. "Kunai through the heart. Snapped neck. Cut in half. She comes back - says she won't leave Sasuke."
Sasuke considered the very tempting idea of running off to some other village and joining their ninja force. Maybe Kumo.
Ino stared. "Iruka-sensei? Is there a way I can spend my final year training at home with my clan?"
"Yes, the Sandaime WAS able to put in that stipulation," said Iruka.
"What about those of us without clans?" asked Ami nervously.
Iruka shook his head no once.
"present:"
"Tell me she's not on Team 7," pleaded Naruto.
"She IS on Team 7," said Kakashi, remembering the horror of the Bell Test.
"I've got a yandere zombie fangirl after me," said Sasuke. "Is there a way to change this?"
