"Yes, sir," said the ANBU known as Cat.
"Hmph," said Hiruzen Sarutobi as he flipped it open. His eyes widened ever so slightly at the information on the next page. "How accurate?"
"Very," responded Cat.
Ninjutsu: 2, Taijutsu: 2, Genjutsu: 1, Intelligence: 2.5, Strength: 5+, Speed: 4.5, Stamina: 5+, Hand Seals: 1
"His speed has really improved," noted the Hokage. "His strength and stamina are listed as '5+'?"
"It was arranged that he should meet with Might Guy and the two got into an arm wrestling match when Guy heard of Naruto's strength and challenged him," said Cat. "The results were inconclusive but Naruto appeared the stronger."
"How were the results inconclusive?" asked the Hokage, genuinely curious.
"The surfaces of three tables were shattered by the muscular twitches of the arms they were using," said Cat. "Also a tree stump and a hitching post. They were going to use an anvil at one point, however the owner of that anvil objected most strenuously to any damage that might occur."
"Ah, I see," said the Hokage, nodding. "Continue."
"Team 7 was given a variety of D-Rank Missions designed to test their capabilities, particularly Naruto's new strength and endurance," said Cat. "He performed all of them clumsily but showing impressive amounts of strength. If anything, the exercise has increased his strength just in the past week."
"Oh?" asked the Hokage.
"As the missions have tested his strength however, there has been another development," said Cat. "Uzumaki has accomplished them on his own, while the rest of his team spars or otherwise trains."
"What?" asked the Hokage. "This isn't a government road crew to have three supervisors for every worker."
Cat shrugged. "Even missions that wouldn't require the use of such strength have been largely left to Naruto to accomplish at this point. It was also discovered that he can breathe water, though not polluted, and that his skin is extremely resistant to being cut or pierced."
"Hmph," said Hiruzen Sarutobi, rising from his desk. "I have an idea."
Cat cocked her head at the expression on the Hokage's face. He looked almost... mischievous.
"Okay, we've got two missions," said Kakashi the next day.
"Oh. Great." Naruto sulked as he considered the way the past week had gone.
"Naruto gets this one, while we get this one," said Kakashi, tossing one scroll to Naruto.
"Eh?" asked Naruto, the change in routine causing him to fumble the scroll.
"Naruto gets a seperate mission?" asked Sasuke, thinking of the past week and that it must be something REALLY smelly/awful/disgusting. Because that's all they'd been getting lately.
"Huh," said Naruto, flipping it open. "Says here I'll get fully briefed when I meet up with a temporary team-captain in... agh! I'm LATE!"
There was brief silence from all three as Naruto leapt, clearing small trees and then running towards the Hokage Tower.
"We get this mission," said Kakashi, handing off the remaining scroll to Sakura.
"I hope it's a normal mission," said Sakura as she unfurled it. "All we've been getting lately are... what does 'animal rendering' mean, Kakashi-sensei?"
Meanwhile, Naruto was on his way to a C-Rank mission.
