The Hokage nodded as he flipped open the folder and looked more closely at the twelve year old. "Same age as Naruto."
"We think that's a side effect of the summoning," said Ibiki, holding up the next folder.
"'Marle' is actually Nadia Senju," said Ibiki, pausing a moment for the Hokage to react to that.
"Senju?" asked the Hokage. "How?"
"One of my workers was pointing out some research in summoning," said Ibiki. "Parallel worlds in particular. There was a ninja during the Second War who had the ability to summon alternate versions of himself from these other worlds, but that ability was at least partially based in fuuinjutsu and quite likely required a particular kekkei genkai to function. Marle and her cousin Ayla are both grandchildren of Tsunade Senju from one of those parallel worlds."
"Tsunade... grandchildren?" asked the Hokage, the idea causing him some amusement.
"Yes," said Ibiki. "Not only their memories but documentation on the two indicates that much. Or a really detailed insertion from a foreign power but as their arrival was witnessed... unlikely. So Marle is an Academy student while Ayla Inuzuka is already a chunin. Ayla has enormous strength, while Marle has Wood Release."
"There's no way to send them back?" asked the Hokage.
"If we could, they're dead in that other world," said Ibiki, shrugging. "Apparently the civil war with the Uchiha occurred in their world, and they were killed by survivors of the Uchiha in a revenge-based attack on Konoha."
"I see," said the Hokage, looking over the two new folders Ibiki had placed upon his desk.
"Lucca," said Ibiki. "From the same reality as Marle and Ayla. Marle's best friend and also an Academy student."
"I see," said the Hokage.
