Sakura frowned slightly. He isn't as obviously awesome as Sasuke, nor as handsome, nor is he cool.
Sakura remembered the summons the boy had produced. There was the woman of ice, who was now looking like a fairly normal girl if you got past the coloration, and was seated next to Naruto. Able to produce ice and cold. There was the demon of fire. Then there was that dragon.
If anything says that you are a powerful ninja who shouldn't be messed with, having a dragon probably counts, mused Sakura to herself.
Now Naruto was not only summoning friends, but had made some in the village. No longer was he some sort of outcast whose outcastedness might rub off on anyone he associated with.
He did good by those two girls. Hinata shows up with some bird every so often. Then there was that bun-haired girl who summoned some kind of horse. Of course, both Hinata and bun-hair tend to look sort of exhausted afterwards. Chakra exhaustion maybe?
Sakura shook her head. What am I thinking about? Okay, maybe he isn't a complete loser. He's still WAY behind Sasuke.
Sasuke knew the basics. The elaborate runes and sigils and whatnot inscribed in the building were the basic framework. The details were the stuff that changed regularly. The notes on how to alter the various formula and the key to activate the whole thing were on a scroll. A scroll held in the Hokage Tower.
With that scroll, he could gain power. Power enough to avenge his clan and wipe That Man utterly from the face of the world. Getting in proved to be very easy. All he had to do was walk in, stating he was running a message for the Hokage's office. He was known as the Uchiha Heir, so he was passed on through.
Frighteningly easy. The only hurdle had been that the chunin at the door had checked for a henge or genjutsu. As neither was present, he was past all that in a few short minutes.
The first shout told him that his welcome was over, but it was easier to get forgiveness than permission, right?
Now he just had to bring this "key" to the "lock" and work out the proper way to put things down on the section that was made to alter with each summoning contract.
He would then have something worthy of the Uchiha name and his destiny of destroying utterly That Man.
Unfortunately, two hours later, having scribbled out what he thought was the right formulae, Sasuke Uchiha was facing what had just come out of summonspace:
