Time's Lament: That is So Wrong. [Episode 250150]

by Josh the Aspie

Ranma twitched, as sweat-drops appeared across his face. Nabiki crossed her arms, and shook her head, looking to the ground. Akane made warding gestures, and backed further into the hall. Kasumi continued her cooking in the kitchen, apparently blissfully unaware of what the others were discovering down the hall. Yes, 3 out of 4 teenaged residents of the Tendo house agree: This is messed up.

In the large western-style bed was a beautiful woman with long, dark, red-brown hair. From what could be told under the covers, she was nude. What's more, she was snuggled up against the chest of a man who was obviously Tendo Soun. The Tendo Soun who was obviously awake, and who was twitching, with tears cascading down his face. The Tendo Soun who was obviously aware of his surroundings, and unable to find the blessed peace of unconsciousness.

"Daddy! How could you?" Escaped Akane's lips. The figure curled up against Soun blinked, and uncurled herself, looking around, at which point Ranma's eyes went even wider, as his worst fears were confirmed. "M... m... mom!?!" The woman who had been curled up against Tendo Soun was indeed Saotome Nodoka. It was not a happy day in the Tendo residence.

"Oh my." Came the gentle surprise of Kasumi, who had finally come down the hall, and was looking in past all of the others. "Father, Aunti-Nodoka, this is hardly proper."

Soun bolted upright, shaking his head frantically, his long black hair flapping out behind his head as he did so, tears still cascading down his cheeks. As he sat up, the blankets were pulled further down and another figure, previously hidden behind Soun, became visible.

"Koachi!?!" Was the universal cry of the incredulous onlookers, with one exception. "Oh my! I suppose I had better make some strong tea." Nodding to herself, Kasumi immediately went into action... by gracefully walking down the hall as though nothing was wrong, and arranging things to help lessen the blow of the latest chaos to befall her family.

Twitching, Akane just stared at the sight in her father's bed, before she felt a strong hand on her arm. "Alright, that's enough gawking. Ranma, you go take a bath." Nabiki said, giving Ranma a shove. "Akane, you stay in your room, or the family room. I don't care which, but stay there till I come for you. I'm getting to the bottom of this."

"But... what... Nabiki?" Was Akane's only response before she was pushed down the hall, and the door was shut on her.

Ranma, meanwhile complied with Nabiki's order, still half in a daze. Though he did spare a look over his shoulder, to where the door to Tendo Soun's room was closing behind Nabiki. Ranma gulped, before heading for the bathroom. "Better Nabiki than me." He then blinked at the ceiling, then snapped his fingers. "Oh yeah, better get some clothes to change into when I'm done!"

Nabiki just shook her head, looking up at the pair before her in the bed. "You really stuck your foot in it this time, didn't you daddy?"

Finally finding his words, Soun stepped half out of bed, before realizing that leaving the bed would uncover him. "Na-Nabiki. You have to believe me. This isn't what it looks like!"

Looking around, Saotome Nodoka looked around, confused. "Tendo-san, where is my Husband?" She asked, looking around with great confusion. "He was here when I... er... retired."

That got Tendo Soun's attention, as he began looking around, his eyes wide. "Saotome! Saotome, where are you?"

Nabiki nearly fell flat on her face, but she managed to control herself. She was very glad that meditation was a part of the Tendo School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. She was banishing images. No seeing those images. Banishing images. GAH!

Looking around hurriedly, Nodoka quickly covered herself with her under-kimono, using the blanket to keep herself covered. "Nabiki-chan. Please, have you seen my husband? I'm worried about him."

Nabiki nodded, slowly, still not done applying brain bleach. "Y-yeah, he was sparing with Ranma earlier."

"Ah. That makes sense." Commented Soun. "My friend is so obviously dedicated to his son's training that he could not even miss the training this morning. That must be why he is missing."

"Riiight." Nabiki drawled. "Obviously." Then her attention was drawn to the third figure in the bed, which was beginning to stir.

"Oh, Ranma-sama." Murmured Kodachi, as she clutched at the man of her dreams, quite literally, before morning intruded upon dreams of her beloved Ranma. She felt sleep began to loose it's hold on her, as she cuddled into the pillow under her head and chest. "Oh, Ranma. Morning, so cruel a... something... to tear us from each other's... warm... something something? Strange. My head... my custom...ish... morning clarity is... um... not... so clear?"

Swimming up from restful unconsciousness, Kodachi began to feel and fight the effects of some sort of deleterious effect, even while trying to analyze it. As a result, she did not wake quite as quickly as if she had simply attempted to wake up. "My head feels much as though... mm. My head swims enough that I cannot construct a suitable analogy. No. Metaphor? Oh, whichever. I am not ill, that is a different sensation. Have I been somehow drugged? Yes. The old familiar touch of... whatever one of those gods of... drugs... are. Zounds. Something with this much effect despite my resistances? Powerful forces were at work... here?"

Kodachi's train of thought derailed, taking out several nearby factories in a great conflagration, as she noticed exactly who's bed she was sharing. She looked to the door, where stood the mercenary Tendo Nabiki, then back to the Man with whom she was sharing a bed. Then to the... woman... she was also sharing the bed with?

The figures were blurry. Whatever she had been exposed to, it was a far cry from her usual concoctions. "Ranma-sama? I swoon with delirious... delight? Yes, delight... that you have taken me to your bed... that you are the one to steal the flower of my womanhood, but why did you feel the need for a... add... for adding another... woman.... to your bed?"

Soun was frozen with a strange sort of terror. Nabiki blinked, repeatedly. "Normally it's Mousse that pulls this act."

It was then that Kodachi's vision swam into focus, and she found herself staring at the terrified face of Tendo Soun. "You are not my Ranma-sama." Kodachi woodenly observed. Soun shook his head, hair flying out behind him as he did.

"And yet I find myself in your bed." Again, Soun shook his head in denial, though this time the correct response was to nod.

"I am not in your bed?" Kodachi asked, puzzled. More head shaking.

"Ah. Then this is a dream?" Kodachi sought to confirm. Again, more head shaking.

"Ah. Then I shall have to take greater precautions when re-formulating the lotus mixture." Kodachi commented before laying back down, and shutting her eyes. "Goodbye poison hallucination."

Nabiki twitched slightly. "Well, looks like we dodged that lawsuit."

Taking advantage of the distraction, and now wearing her under-kimono, Nodoka hurried out the door, and down the hall.
