Mischief Fragment - Destroyer: Yin and Yang [Episode 250209]

by Kestral

They were preset, based on data scanned long ago and developed as the two primary Guardian Knights.

"Well," said Yin, the gleaming black dragon with white eyes. Her serpentine form coiled in midair. "This is an interesting vessel at least."

"Hmph, seen one, seen 'em all," responded the more-Western looking white dragon as he settled into place. "Not enough room to stretch out."

"Oh, don't be like that," advised Yin. "We've got a new master to serve. This Naruto kid could be quite interesting."

"You're such a cockeyed optimist," said Yang.

"You're such an Eeyore," said Yin.

"Well, why wouldn't I be?" asked Yang. "Experience bears me out. Remember that one guy, all he had us do was little tasks around his home. Fetch the paper, go get me a pizza, that sort of thing."

"Ummmmm, pizza," said Yin. "I could sure favor one right about now. I'm a bit peckish."

"Ha, I doubt this place even has food-synthesizers, downright primitive if you ask me," said Yang, smacking his own lips briefly. "Now that you mention it though. It has been a few years since we had something to eat."

"Right, then," said Yin, sounding enthusiastic. "Let's see if we can't find the local galley or whatever they call it on this craft."

"Computer?" asked Yang of the air. "Display map. See? Nothing. Might as well stick us with the stone-knives-and-bearskins crowd."

"Where's your spirit of adventure?" asked Yin over her shoulder as she began floating down a corridor.

"Don't got one of those," said Yang, reluctantly getting up himself. "Not fond of adventures. Interrupt one's nap time and cause your meals to come irregular and all. Might as well tag along though. Not like anything's going on hereabouts."
