Her choking on her tea was quite unusual however.
"What?" asked Amy, wondering what the Captain had seen that had discomfited her that much. She clicked and brought up the same screen. "oh."
[Identification found. Ifurita. Al-Hazard Demon-Goddess class Weapon Of Massive Destruction.Recommendation: Avoid If Possible]
[Identification found. Lina Inverse. Mage from Al-Hazard known as the Dragon Spooker, the Dread Sorceress Lina, the Bandit-Slayer. Believed to have destroyed over seventeen cities, towns, villages, and assorted municipalities. Recommendation: Flee.]
"Current location?" asked Lindy of the ship.
[Currently not on board.]
"What of Naruto Uzumaki?" asked Lindy.
[No references found.]
"Great," said Lindy. "They're off my ship. So where are they?"
An image popped up.
Lindy flopped back in her chair. "Oh that's just great."
Shamal had seen the obviously wounded boy and had immediately shifted targets.
The boy was flanked by two protectors, therefore he was a powerful mage - therefore his linker core would add greatly to the Book Of Darkness.
"Someone give me a hand," said Shamal after using the Mirror Of Travel function and thrusting her hand through. It felt as if she had ahold of it, but the core was being difficult to move.
Which merely meant it was all the more powerful and therefore something they needed for the book.
Kyubi, the Ninetailed Demon Fox, couldn't believe it. After so long is this prison, someone had opened a BACK DOOR. Not only that, they were trying to pull him out through a hole barely big enough for one of his tails. Compressing his mass as much as he could, the Kyubi tried to pry open the hole further and squeeze through it as the tugs continued.
"One, two, three," said Shamal. "Heave!"
Vita, Signum, and Zafira all braced themselves and hauled back.
POP!
There was a brief stumble backwards, and then something appeared, becoming a tornado of red energy that gradually solidified. Nine tails lashed the air and the barrier around the area shattered as if it were thin crystal.
"Oooookay," said Shamal, looking up and up and up at the beast. "This... doesn't look like the boy's linker core."
The Kyubi howled in joy and anticipation of much destruction.
