Hotaru looked up at Raphiel. She liked the werecheetah. he was funny, and he tried to make her laugh. He also had an ability to make Michiru Mama blush in ways she's known only Haruka Papa to be able to do. "From what I understand, a friend of ours is in trouble. In fact, I should help too, but I can't."
"Why not?" Raphiel asked.
"Well, I can't leave Haruka Papa here alone." Hotaru explained.
"Listen! Hotaru!" Haruka began. "If you let me out of this straight jacket, we can all go and help!"
Hotaru thought about it for a moment, then shook her head. "Sorry Haruka Papa. Michiru Mama said that the doctors gave instructions that you should stay in the straigh-jacket for a good 24 hours, so you have time to calm down and not kill anyone."
The answer Hotaru got was a whole bunch of cursing from 'Haruka Papa'. Damn, ever since she found out the house burned down Haruka had become a real butch bitch.
Artemis, who was over to the side, was throwing his little kitty guts up. "Oh Haruka, would you just SHUT UP!"
Stryyp blinked and looked down at Artemis. "You can TALK!?"
Managing a smirk, Artemis replied. "I also can sing and do river-dancing. No shows Sundays though. Tip the waitresses well."
Stryyp blinked. He was not expecting the cat to be sarcastic. "Are you a familiar of some sort."
"Kinda..." Artemis eyed Stryyp critically. "By the way, do you realize your wife drives like a maniac?"
Stryyp blushed. "Yeah. But you get used to it after the first dozen or so near-death experiences..."
Hotaru piped into the conversation. "Oh please, she can't be any worse than Haruka Papa."
"HEY!" Haruka butted in. "I am NOT a bad driver!"
This sudden outburst startled Raphiel and he practically jumped, turning to look at Haruka. Unfortunately, his tail slapped the wheel-cart as he turned, hitting it with enouh force to send it rolling out of the parking lot...
Down the sidewalk...
And into traffic...
BEEP! HONK! *SCREEEECH* *WHAM* HONK! "OH MY GOD!" BEEP! "MY CAR!" *CRASH*
Artemis, Hotaru, Stryyp, and Raphiel cringed. Hotaru looked over at Raphiel. "Now I'm going to need a new Papa..."
Raphiel blushed intensely as he scratched the back of his head. "Sorry about that..."
"Not as sorry as you're going to be." Artemis began. "As soon as her healing abilities get her back on her feet, she's going to kick your spotted ass from here, to Atlanta, and back again."
